Chapter 18

After that, Suzy allowed you to leave.  Letting out a sigh you started on your walk back home, running a hand through your hair.

You looked around you as you were watching. You were all too familiar with your current location. This was the area you grew up in. The area you would run around with Suzy and Jackson as small pups, no worries in sight. This area is the pack home...the pack that you grew up in. The pack that you use to lead with Suzy and Jackson by your side. That was until Suzy decided she wanted your position and turned the pack against you, chasing you out of the pack.

Honestly, you didn't expect that from Suzy at all. Growing up the two of you were inseparable and she was your most loyal companion growing up. 

You never really knew the real why she did that and you still don't know, you just always assumed it was out of jealousy or maybe she felt powerless in her old position, but still she would've told you something instead of chasing you out of your own pack. The pack that your father left behind for you, the pack that your family lead for generations. You never met your grandfather, he passed a month or so before you were born, your dad told you it was while fighting for the pack.

After seeing what your dad has done to protect the pack from intruders and to protect his position as pack alpha and leader you didn't doubt for a second that the tales of your grandfather were false. You looked up to your father and strength. You wanted to be just like him, but instead, you allowed your best friend...well ex-best friend to have you driven out of your own pack without putting up any kind of fight, what would your parents think if they saw you now. 

They would probably think that you are a complete disappointment, that you don't deserve to be called an alpha...a leader, but what were you supposed to do? Fight your entire pack of a minimum of 12 wolves? All by yourself? You couldn't....you wouldn't stand a chance.

As you were walking through the pack dens, you couldn't help but notice all the stares on you. All those familiar faces of the people who used to respect you, all those kids who used to look up at you, looking at you with utter disgust and sadness. They couldn't stand to look at your face, not after what you did, or at least what they were told you did.

You're probably thinking what did Suzy tell the pack that was so bad that you were kicked out of it with pure hatred.

Well, Suzy started a rumour that you were sleeping with the rival pack's alpha despite him already having his own mate. Now, you might be thinking what's the big deal, well one of the pack's biggest rules was you were not allowed to sleep with another pack member unless they were your mate and in this case, the other pack leader was 100%, not your mate. Making the pack think you broke the rule you were most strict on and betrayed the whole pack and loyalty is quite the thing in packs.

Betraying the pack and redeeming yourself unloyal was as bad as murdering a fellow pack member or anyone and with the pack thinking that you had betrayed them, they chased you out in complete rage, not giving you the chance to explain or defend yourself and that hurt you...a lot. 

The fact that the pack just chased you out without asking any questions made you wonder, were they ever loyal to you in the first place? Did they never see you fit enough to be their leader? Did they think so low of you that they wouldn't doubt you doing something like that?

You decided to not worry yourself over it and shook away your thoughts. This pack isn't yours anymore, they aren't your responsibility no more. You've moved on you have Jungkook and the rest of the boys with you now. The 8 of you can start your own pack together, along with everyone else's mate. Not only will start any regular type of pack but a royal one considering the fact that Jungkook is a royal, or at least according to Suzy, but seeing how easily she lied to the pack back then, who says she isn't lying now? The only way to know 100% is by asking Jin or Namjoon seeing they know the most about Jungkook's past after practically raising him.

You took in the scenery of the pack territory, letting all the past memories flood back in before leaving. Luckily you knew where you were so it shouldn't be too hard to get back home. 

And so you began your walk back home, it was quite a long walk since Jungkook didn't live anywhere close to where the pack lived, man did you wish you had some time of faster transport right now. It was past midnight and it was fall, so it got quite chilly at night and all you had on was a pair of knee-high leggings, sneakers and a rather thin hoodie so at this point you were starting to feel quite chilly.

Shivering you finally made it home after almost 2 hours of walking, now you just had to find a way to quietly sneak into the house without waking or disturbing anyone. you went to the back sliding door, trying to open it you discovered that it was unfortunately locked not really surprised though. You decided to try the front door since that was the way you originally left the house in the first place, but just like the back door, it was locked. Shit. 

You started to walk around the house, searching for a way to get in when you spotted an open window on the second floor.

Bingo.

You started to climb your way up to the window, making use of the patio roof, you managed to get into the house, finally.

Making your way to your room as quietly as you possibly could, which was hard with the creaking floorboards, you were about to make it to your room when suddenly you were pushed face-first against a wall, your wrists being pinned above your head you let out a groan.

Jungkook: Y/n?

You heard Jungkook's voice from behind you as he slowly let go of you. Pulling away from the wall you turned to look at him with a slight glare.

Y/n: What the hell, man!?

You exclaimed and rubbed your cheek.

Jungkook: Sorry, I didn't realise it was you, I thought you were an intruder or something.  What the hell are you doing sneaking in at almost 2 in the bloody morning anyways?

He questioned and looked at you with a frown.

Y/n: I couldn't sleep so I went to get fresh air and a few complications later I came back and everything is locked. So I kind off didn't have much of a choice.

You muttered and opened your bedroom door and looked at him.

Y/n: Now if you are finished with your questions, can I go to sleep now? I'm tired.

Jungkook: Yeah, sorry.

Y/n: Thank you, I'll see you in the morning as I myself have a few questions for you myself.

You muttered before disappearing into your room, closing the door behind you, calling it a night.
