The Numberblocks are real in their world, of course, but not in ours. You're allowed to write fanfiction about fictional characters, it's not a bad thing.
But if you do, be creative, or at least be fulfilling with it.
Write what makes you happy. Every writer likely needs something like that every once in a while, even if the story may not be the best. But most any character will have interesting things about them so long as you truly pay attention to the character. Don't close yourself to tropes and what you know only. Explore romance. Explore rescue. Explore indulgent tropes as a whole.
You're allowed to have weird ideas, just as long as you avoid inappropriate and morally grotesque ones.
And no being gay/trans is NOT morally reprehensible, if you hate those things I don't know what you're doing reading this
You're allowed to be weird in general. It's an underrated trait.
Lastly, it's okay to treat your characters right.
They are just fictional characters, but it's not weird to care about them when you write and have them emote more like real people
That is all.

P.S. this is not based on any real world events. Don't get hacked, I guess.
