Chapter 3

Elijah's POV:

I watched as Arthur was arguing with the other people in the room. "You can't be suggesting he's a mutant" Arthur said with a hint of anger in his voice.

"Unless this friend of yours has an ancient relic which I highly doubt. He is most probably a mutant" She said with a non faltering voice.

"Come on nemuri let's not jump to conclusions" the boss said. "He hasn't shown any symptoms of being a mutant" he carried on.

"Wil surely you didn't forget it can take up to a month from exposure to turn" she refuted.

"Then there's a simply solution. We wait a month" wil said nonchalantly.

"And what If danger arises within that 1 month and we aren't there" Nemuri argued.

Wil simply sighed and said "You're always so difficult. If that's what you're worried about we'll assign Arthur to watch him" He shrugged.

Arthur quickly agreed. "Yes we go to the same school and I'm close enough with him that I can go to his house even. If needed you could assign a few other agents if you wanted" he said with Hope in his voice.

"Wil you're to lenient. Arthur you may be powerful but you slipped up and caused a massive problem. There won't be a next time do you understand" she said coldly.

Arthur took and a bow and replied. "Yes mam". The captain had saved his friend. He want as far as to argue with nemuri.

Sure they had there differences in opinion but an argument over the life of someone. An argument this deep had never occurred in his time here.

"Well I guess that resolves everything. Arthur will watch him and every day he'll come for checkups to test for symptoms" The captain said while clapping his hands together.

It has been an hour later. I found out that that group made an excuse as to why I didn't return home. I'd be staying in this facility until I had to head to school then I'd go home like normal.

Wil came to me from behind (PAUSE) and initiated conversation.

"You should be getting to sleep y'know school and all" he chucked. "Are you going to kill me?" I replied while looking at the floor.

He sighed, "look kid I know you think bad it Nemuri but she's just trying to keep people safe y'know"  he said sympathetically. "That wasn't the question" I replied

He looked at me and closed is eyes almost looking like he was fighting himself. He got up and headed to the door.

"If we find out you're a MUTANT yes you'll be executed, but your family will be compensated" he said as he left.

I looked up at the sky. The stars looked so beautiful. Crazy how something light years away could illuminate such beauties on earth.

How lucky we are as humans...but it could all crumple. Thoughts flooded my mind.

What would happen if the entire world was infested with these mutants? Would Arthur and all the others be able to fight.

How would they cover up killing these things if they're parasites and take the body of a host surely that girl had a family. Oh no

An innocent girl fell victim to something that tragic. Slowly getting the energy sapped out of you until you eventually died.

This process could even take months, imagine all that anguish constantly getting your life force stolen from you for no reason.

I kept gazing at the night sky admiring its Beauties. I don't want to become like that...A Monster

I want to spend time with my family, make friends grow old enjoy life.

All of this could be decided by whether or not I was infected. Just with a snap my life would be stolen by a parasite.

But that begs the question What if nemuri was right? What if I transformed and hurt someone.

If I split blood it'd be on my hands since I didn't allow them to kill me,but

But "I don't want to die" I said to myself. I want to grow old fall in love have kids

I want to tell stories to my grandchildren about my Normal Highschool life.

I looked at the floor and saw small drops of liquid contacting the floor. "I don't want to die dammit"

"And you won't have to" a voice surprised me.

I quickly rubbed my eyes and turned around before I could react this figure put their hands around my cheeks.

"Elijah oh how I've missed you" a green haired women said with a lewd look on her face.

"Do we know each other?" I asked both confused and slight uncomfortable.

"You don't remember me? It's fine It was a long time but you'll remember soon" she whispered in his ear.

Then she slightly bit.

I let out a sudden moan and pushed her away as I held my ear. "Back the fuck off holy shit" I replied. It felt like my heart was beating a million times a minute.

What the hell was this chick thinking? She's nothing like the cold person I saw in the hospital.

"Baby are you playing hard to get? I love it" she said while licking her lips. She peaked onto me and restrained me on the ground.

Her face got dangerously close to mine. She licked my cheek before preparing to kiss me before Arthur entered the room.

Arthur's POV:

I walked in a room which I thought was empty but I saw The normal colds stoic Kathlyn on top of Elijah...

"Ahem- didn't know you could work this fast Elijah, you surprise me" I said holding back a laugh.

Kathlyn got off Elijah and instantly glared at me with her all so common ice cold stare.

She left the room while colliding with my shoulder even though she had relatively average size. She was strong as all living hell.

I turned to Elijah was a Smirk bigger than Jupiter on my face "Care to explain?"
