WHEN WE HEARD CHAOS SAY "Alright people, get on the ship, we don't have an eternity," Nico, Bianca, Zoë, and I got up right away. We had been sitting in silence, waiting to go, and because of that, we were the first ones on the spaceship.
Now, I'm sure you know what you're thinking: 'What? A spaceship? You live with Chaos, can't you do something cool, like teleport?'
Well, the truth is, we CAN teleport.
We just don't want to.
When we had our first missions, Chaos offered to teleport us to our mission. Naturally, we all agreed. Through that experience, we learned why the others declined his offer. Teleportation left you weak and dizzy, disoriented, and extremely nauseous. Percy was the only one who didn't throw up after his first go at it, but even he didn't want to do it again.
We later asked why we couldn't shadow or water travel, and Chaos said that we could do that all we wanted to on the planet, but we didn't know what the place we were going to was like. Also, space is a vacuum: no air, no oxygen, nothing living outside a planets atmosphere, no shadows, and most definitely, no water.
So, we stuck with our spaceship, and we liked it.
When everyone was on, we took off, and someone set the autopilot to Earth:Camp-Half Blood.
"So, what do you think Earth is gonna be like?" Skyler asked everyone.
"I dunno. When we were there, the big house was blue, so... That'll probably be repainted."
"Blue? When Jacob and I were there it was red!" Mailene exclaimed.
"Yeah, when we were there, it was red!" the twins said.
"What other colors were it then?" Jason wondered.
"It was yellow for me." Skylar said.
"Yeah, yellow for me too." Clary agreed.
"Well, it was orange for me." Zale revealed.
"Same." Cameron nodded.
"Magenta." Will laughed.
"Kat?" Luke poked her. She jumped and looked up.
"Huh?"
"What color was the Big House when you were there?" Luke asked her.
"Green. Why?"
"It didn't stay green. It's been yellow, red, orange, magenta, and blue since you left."
"I guessed. They had just painted it green when I arrived. It had been some horrendous pink color before then apparently."
"Weird." Selina mumbled. "I can't imagine it as anything other than blue. It doesn't seem right."
"I think you'll all say that for the color it was when you were there." I smiled.
"Probably." Bianca and Zoë agreed.
"But I have to agree with Selina. Trying to imagining the Big House as any color other than blue is just too weird. I can't do it."
"Well you won't have to imagine it soon. It probably won't be blue anymore. And we're almost there. Actually, we're about to enter Earth's atmosphere."
"Wow. That was fast ride." Nico said as he went to a window.
"Chaos is extremely close to Earth. It's just outside of the milky way." Zale explained as she joined Nico at the windows.
