When someone crossed the street, Zaia was driving her McLaren 570 coupe. She panicked and slammed on the brakes. She quickly exited the car to check on the person to see if the person were hurt or had been ran over. Ah, shucks, what was he thinking? Is he going to end his life? Zaia uttered a thought.
Zaia exclaimed angrily, "Hey, what were you thinking? Are you going to kill yourself or what?! Do you even see the traffic lights?! Gosh!"
He bowed and apologized, "S-sorry, I was thinking about something and didn't realize it was the go signal for the cars."
Zaia let out a deep sigh before answering. "Next time kung gusto mong mag pakamatay, doon ka sa tulay. Hindi yung dito ka sa daan. Mapeperwisyo ang naka sagasa sayo eh." Zaia said.
"Effective bang mag pakamatay sa tulay? Matagal ko nang gustong mamatay kaso hindi naman natutulayan " The man answered and chuckled a bit
Zaia heard a sense of sorrow in his voice. She stunned to find the man's hands and face covered with bruises. His wrist and neck are full of scars. "I don't care what this man is thinking; whether he has been abused or not; after all, it is none of my concern." She mumbled. " Tss, why don't you try then? Baka effective." Saad niya bago pumasok sa sasakyan ang umalis na.
"Siguro sa susunod" nakayukong saad nang lalake at umuwi na.
Nang makarating si Zaia sa HQ nila ay agad siyang pumunta sa silid na tatlo lang silang magkakaibigan ang may alam ng kumbinasyon ng mga letra at numero para mabuksan ang silid. Pag pasok niya ay agad niyang nabungadan ang dalawang kaibigan.
"Oh, what took you so long your highness?" Mapang asar na saad ni Axerylle
"Shup up Axerylle." Zaia answered
She was getting even angrier when one of her friends, Xianna, said, "Oh, come on dear princess, just tell us what really happened. Why now? We know how important time is to you, call time is call time for you right?." Pang aasar pa nito.
"Oh come on you two stop teasing me or else baka mabaril ko kayo ng wala sa oras. Just choose it's either you two would shut up or die." Naka ngiting anas ni Zaia
"Your highness, we know you cannot do that; after all, you do love us, right?" Saad ni Axerylle
"I can't kill you; do you want me to try?" Naka ngiting saad ni Zaia. "And could you please address me by my name? What's up with your majesty and the princess? Gosh, that's horrible. Zaia said while getting her gun and point it to the two ladies.
"Come on, your majesty—you know we're only kidding"Axerylle murmured, her voice tinged with nervousness.
"Hey Zaia, what's wrong with princess and your highness? You'll be the queen of Irishma soon and your brother will be the next king of Levemours so basically your the crown princess and that makes you a princess, your highness." Saad naman ni Xianna
"I know that Xia, it's just the three of us here. Why can't you stop teasing me and just call me by my name? Title sucks you know." Saad naman ni Zaia
"Okay if you say so. So ano nga ang nangyari? Bakit ngayon kalang?" Tanong nang dalawa sa kaniya.
Ikinuwento naman ni Zaia ang nangyari sa dalawa at halata ang ang pag kabigla nang mga ito sa sinabi nang prinsesa.
"Xianna, can you locate his whereabouts? Just check the CCTV kung saan ko siya malapit nang mabangga. I think he's being abused." Anas niya kay Xianna
Agad namang tumalima si Xianna at kinuha ang laptop nito para sundin ang utos dito.
"Rylle, what's the update inside the organization?"
"No moles inside the org or something but there's a problem to the company Zai. Mr. Rico pull out his investments"
Nababahalang saad ni Axerylle kay Zaia.
"Let him be. It's his lost not ours. He's not a big deal anyway. Maraming mga investors ang nag kakandarapa na mag invest sa LGC."
"Well it's true. Let's just find another investor. The one that can stay and invest more. What do you think girls?" Singgit ni Xianna
"Xia's right. Arrage an appointment to those who want to invest in LGC and hire the reliable one. Understood?" Zaia ask the two and they nodded.
When Kendrick got home, he put all the stuffs he bought at the kitchen and immediately go to his room. He don't want to see his step- mother because he's afraid that that woman might hurt him again.
Kendrick take a shower and checked his body if the bruises are still there. He sighed when he sees the big bruises at his arms and legs.
After taking a shower and put an ointment to his bruises, Kendrick put his clothes on. He pick the one that makes him comfortable and the one who can hide those wounds.
He lays at his bedroom to get some rest because he knew that later if his step-mother came, he would be beaten up again or be scolded without any reasons.
"I hope this time, I won't be able to wake up. Mom, dad please get me. I'm tired. Just let me die or just let someone help me from this situation." He mumbled before darkness takes place.
Zaia is busy looking at the files Xianna submitted. It's the information about Kendrick Lacsamana, the man nearly bumped by her car.
"So he's the only heir of Lacsamana's. But why he's not fighting back? He can do whatever he want." Zaia mumbled curiously.
"Bases on the information I gathered, he was left by his mother at a very young age and it turned out that she was murdered, his father died when he was 14, he is now under his step- mother's care. People around him thinks that his step-mother treat him properly but based on what you saw, I think he's being abused." Xia explained.
"Then why is he still there then? He can just go somewhere he want. He can throw that bitchy step-mother of his. It's his house anyway so basically he has the right to get it back." Zaia said with lividness in her voice. "He's already 25 then why he isn't doing anything?"
Xia sighed at her bestfriend outrage. "I think the cold hearted mafia princess just found her match." She mumbled just enough for Zaia not to hear it.
Rylle on the other hand is just sipping at her apple juice while listening at the two. Mukhang ito na ang makakapagbago sa aming prensesa. Akalain mo yun, unang kita palang nag ka interes na sya? Ano kayang karisma meron sa lalaking yun. Saad niya sa isip
