Howl who have been in bed for a day after getting clean by Markl.

Elizabeth have been guarding Howl due to Markl's request.

"Howl? Beth? I'm coming in!" Sophie said

"Come in!" Elizabeth replied back

Sophie came in with a hot milk and a biscuit on her hand.

"Here's some hot milk and biscuit" Sophie informed

"None for me?" Elizabeth pouted

"None for you, missy. You have eaten enough biscuit!" Sophie scolded

Howl just shakes his head as a sign he does not want the milk and biscuit.

"Oh! See, he doesn't want the milk and biscuit! Can I have it?" Elizabeth asked

"No" Sophie replied which made Elizabeth pout

"I will leave it here, try to drink it before it gets cold" Sophie said to Howl. Sophie then started to walk away from Howl's bed.

"Sophie wait" Howl said

And he finally talk.

Elizabeth said to herself as earlier, he's not talking at all.

Howl clings onto Elizabeth's left arm. He hugs it, Elizabeth was confused at the action but she let it be. She thought that Howl likes to hug things.

Until now, Howl still hugs Elizabeth's left arm.

"Do want some milk?" Sophie asked, Howl shakes his head as his answer.

"The witch of the waste is trying to find my castle" Howl said

Elizabeth gasp while Sophie's eyes widen at the information that have been dropped.

"Ah! We saw the henchman at the harbor" Sophie informed

"That tall looking puppet with a mask dressed in a pink suit" Elizabeth described

"The truth is that I am a coward and all I do is to hide. And all of this magic is to keep everybody away. I can't stand how scared I am" Howl ranted

Elizabeth's eyes soften at the how Howl confessed his true nature.

"Howl? Why is the witch of the waste tries to hunt you down?" Sophie asked

"She was once quite beautiful, so I decided to pursue her. The I realized she wasn't then as usual I ran away" Howl answered

Sophie let out a sigh while Elizabeth just shake her head.

"I can't run much longer though, I have to report to the palace as both a Pendragon and as a Jenkins" Howl added

"How many names do you need?" Elizabeth asked

"As many as I need to keep my freedom" Howl replied back

"Just refuse the king's invitation" Sophie said

"And I wish it was that easy to refuse a high ranking official" Elizabeth mumble to herself but Howl clearly heard it.

"See that?" Howl pointed at a board that have a paper pin on it.

"That's a oath when I entered the royal sorcery academy, I must report whenever summoned" Howl added

"You know Howl, I think you should see the king!" Sophie said

"WHAT?!" Howl and Elizabeth exclaimed at the same time.

"Give him a piece of your mind and tell him that this war is pointless, that you refuse to take part of it." Sophie explained

Howl sighs

"You obviously don't know what these people are like, Elizabeth knows better" Howl said

"I have been summoned by the palace one time..due to...give me a certificate for being rare and the town's most beautiful maiden..." Elizabeth said

"I remember that..." Sophie replied

Howl knew about that and he was quite happy about Elizabeth's achievement.

"Going back, he's our king. So he needs to listen to what he's people say" Sophie said

Howl who still holding onto Elizabeth's left arm suddenly sit up making Elizabeth face planted on the bed near Howl.

"I know! Why don't you and Eliza go to the palace for me?!" Howl exclaimed

"Howl? Can you let go? I got my face on the bed..." Elizabeth replied

"Huh?" Sophie was confused

Howl let go of Elizabeth and put her beside him.

"Sophie you will say that you're my mother while Eliza will be my wife! You two need to say that your son and husband is to coward to show his face. Then maybe madame Sulliman will finally give up on me!" Howl explained

WIFE?! WIFE?!

Elizabeth panicked internally as Howl suggest that she will be his pretend wife.

"Whose madame Sulliman?" Sophie asked

Howl then started to explain who is the said lady a.k.a the head witch of the king.

"Do I really need to do this?" Elizabeth asked Howl

"Yep!" Howl replied

"They know I am a maiden and single though..." Elizabeth said

"Well not anymore!" Howl replied

"Okay okay, I get it. I can't believe I married to a coward wizard" Elizabeth joked

"Yah! I must be a coward but I'm handsome~" Howl teased

"Okay I get it" Elizabeth said

The two went downstairs to see Sophie waiting for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth just wore a white dress that is long sleeved and is off shoulder. She also wears her star necklace that have been with her from beginning.

"You are going to wear that hat? After all the spells I did to make your dress pretty?" Howl complained

"Markl take care of him" Elizabeth exclaimed

"Good luck!" Calcifer said

The two ladies walk side by side following behind is Howl who signal Markl to stop following the two ladies.

Howl landed in between of Elizabeth and Sophie. Howl slide a ring in Sophie's pointer finger while Howl slides a two rings on Elizabeth's left hand. A diamond ring on the left ring finger and a ring similar to Sophie on the left pointer finger.

"This charm will provide you two's safe return" Howl said to the two ladies

"Don't worry, I will follow you two in disguise. Now, off you two go" Howl said

Before Elizabeth step out, Howl grab her left hand then kissed the ring that is in the ring finger.

"Off you go, my darling" Howl bid farewell

Elizabeth blushed

Sophie waited for Elizabeth.

"Why I have a idea that is not going to work?" Sophie said

"Same, Soph" Elizabeth agreed
