Now it was just the sleeping Ronny and Papyrus in the room. It was pretty quiet except the even breathing of said child. Papyrus thought it was a good time for this. No one was in the room to question him. He just didn't know how to start.
"Ronny..."
He felt a bit awkward talking to someone who won't answer back. Yet, he continued quietly anyway.
"Ronny...I understand how you wanted to do this. However, I don't understand why. I get that children might have had abusive parents and how that could change a child, but..."
He had to collect himself, he had to stay strong. He knows he can do this, can't he?
"Y-You've been with us and you seemed happy. Wouldn't spending time with a nice family that you know won't harm you, change a child as well? Unless, we weren't nice at all..."
Papyrus felt as if the dam broke, but hasn't reached the edge yet. Has the so called 'fighting' trigger her? Did she not feel safe? But she was smiling right? That makes a kid feel safe right? She was happy right?
"I-I..."
Of course she wasn't happy. She tried to kill herself. He couldn't stay strong any longer. But he had to!
"I-I thought they wanted to stay with us and they were all happy. I tho-thought they wanted to stay because they liked us and trusted us. I-I th-thought that we were the reason they were so alive. But that isn't it, is it? They didn't trust us. They didn't like us. They didn't want us. They weren't happy. Because if they were..."
Papyrus gone silent for a second. He had to stay calm. For everyone. Oh, who even cares anymore.
"They wouldn't have RESET."
