"Why did I try to stay cheerful?"
A pause. A drop of water could be heard hitting the wooden floor. Another goes. And there goes another. Ripples of now bulky blobs make their way down like a waterfall.
"What was the point?"
There was nothing getting through to them. There was no way to stop them. They seemed happy, but turned around and happened to be an entirely different person.
A sob. No, stop. Can't let it out. Don't wake anyone.
"I'm not important at this point. Ronny is. Not me. I'm not important, at least not now I'm not."
He did the same thing every timeline. Why didn't he try to change something? He was happy before, unaffected to everyone and everything. However, as time passed over, timeline after timeline, he's changed. Like children would. The environment changes them, the world.
He's started to pretend to be happy. To be the oblivious brother. The one that acts stupid and tries to fit in. He succeeds, but at what cost? He doesn't do anything different and that ends up with a child fighting life in front of him.
"Why are you such an idiot?? At least you could've done something! Aren't you supposed to be some kind of greatness? That's what you say all the time, so why don't you start acting like one, Papyrus! Instead of pretending to be such a fake!"
All this self-loathing. How sad. No, not him. Not yet. Not important. Not now.
"Not yet. Not now. Not you. Papyrus, this is Ronny's time to be in much importance. Not you. Not important. Not right now."
He covered his mouth. His sobs not needed to be heard. His soul hurt. He couldn't do it. Couldn't take it. He gripped his shirt right over his soul. It felt like it was cracking. Breaking. Shattering.
"Can't I be important?"
Not now. Not important. Ronny needs it. Needs the importance. The care. The attention.
"Please, it hurts."
Not important. Not now.
"Please, Ronny wake up. Please be okay!"
Can't rush things. Takes time. Not now.
"It hurts."
Not important.
"Plea-"
Shh.
