Taehyung, Jimin and Beomgyu arrived to their job at 6:00 in the morning, dreading the long 12 hour shift they were about to have.
Being a 911 operator isn't something you'd consider a happy-go-lucky job, it's full of sad and very intense scenarios, but the three took the job oppurtunity back when they were 18 years old and have stuck with it since and they wouldn't see themselves anywhere else.
The benefit of this job in their eyes is they get to help people as much as they can in said scenarios.
"Good morning.." Jimin said, pouring coffee into his cup and watching as Taehyung and Beomgyu walked into the small kitchen area.
"Morning.." The two said in unison, Tae sounding the most tired of the two.
"You sound very chipper." Beomgyu joked, grabbing the coffee pot after Jimin set it down, filling his own cup.
"I didn't sleep well... Jungkook has his damn radio sleeping in our room because he's always on call." Taehyung replied, yawning and stretching, bones popping and cracking as he stretched.
"Perks of living with a fireman... I've learned to sleep with Namjoon's though." The older of the two said putting stuff in his coffee to make it taste better.
"Grateful I don't have to worry about that." Gyu said, small giggle, he loved rubbing it in that his boyfriend, Taehyun, is a paramedic and he doesn't have to worry about sleeping with a loud ass radio.
"Must be nice.." The raven said, yawning once again. Don't get Tae wrong, he loves Jungkook and sleeping next to him, but that damn radio needs to go.
After the three had their morning chat, they each sat at their desks, which are next to each other, in the main office area. In unison they put their headset on and as soon as they did, calls came through. The three pressed answer.
"911 What your emergancy?" They all said in unison.
...
7:49 AM
"Lady you being up there is causing us to hold back traffic, people need to get to work." Yeonjun said into the walkie-talkie, which rang throuigh the speakers of the police car.
A lady is standing on the little platform underneath a highway sign, she was only in a bathrobe and behind her hung a sign, that she hung herself. She cleary wanted someone to notice her for something.
"If she doesn't get down someone is going to have to go up and get her." Hoseok said, looking up at the woman, who was clearly ignoring what his work partner had to say.
"I think it would be best to call the fire department for that.." The younger said, before pressing the button to the walkie talkie. "Lady if you don't get down, someone will come up and bring you down.." he added.
"No!! I am not coming down until I am noticed!!" She shouted.
"Is she-.. Lady! All of LA can see you!" Yeonjun said into the a small object in his hand. "Who else do you want to notice you?! The damn president!? Cause I hate to break it to you he's in D.C not LA.." he added.
"I'm going to need the fire department on the I-405, there's a lady on one of the signs and she won't come down.." The older said into his personal walkie talkie, getting a response right away.
"I'm not coming down until I am noticed by Adam, my husband!!" The lady shouted.
"All this for her husband.." Hoseok said. "Really? All of this for something she could do at home.." He added shaking his head.
Ontop of the firetrucks coming in, every news station possible decided to show up as well, causing the first responders to sigh. To them this isn't really news worthy, it's just a woman being an idiot and can clearly solve the problem at home.
