When Dr. Schneeplestein had told Jameson that the rooms of the house would sometimes change to accommodate others, Jameson began to wonder what his room used to look like. He been thinking about it well into the night. With his curiosity getting the better of him, he threw off the duvet and sheets and got out of bed. He grabbed the watch off the nightstand and left the room, making sure to close the door behind him. He felt a little awkward standing in the hallway in his nightclothes, but the others should be asleep by now.
He set the watch in the pocket on his top then set his hands on the door frame. He closed his eyes and focused on the hum from the house. (He knew that the humming was probably from the air unit , but it was easier to think of it as the house.) He thought of the room behind the door. The life that it held before he showed up. He let his thoughts wander around that subject before opening his eyes. He let go of the doorframe and took a deep breath.
Jameson opened the door and flipped the light switch. The walls were an off-white color with a few half-hung posters. The bed frame now was now metal, and the bed was made. (He could probably find a coin and bounce it on the bed. Probably.) At the foot of the bed, there was a bin that looked full. (From where he stood, he could see bottles and paper plates.) The bin must've come from the kitchen and was never put back. There was a dresser, a bookcase, and a television. Besides that, the room was pretty much empty. The man who lived here before must've taken everything with him before he left.
—— [<-this just meant that I was still thinking on how to transition to the next part]
He realized that while he may not want to intrude on whoever 's room this was, he still needed a place to sleep. Jameson
