Maxine is the older cat. She is calmer than Socks is. She's friendly as hell, but will hiss at mean people. She is also deaf and understands some sign language gestures. Sometimes she's loud and other times she's quiet. Jameson's gotten the habit of making noise when moving, so she can feel him and know he's there (or move so he won't step on her). Chase called her Sweetie when he first met her. When he learned her name, he nicknamed her MJ.
