The sun was starting to go down behind the mountains again and they were headed to dinner. It was a day filled with excitement and different emotions, and a day couldn't even be more memorable.
As they entered the restaurant, they smelled the air that smelt of Korean foods. They occupied an eighth seater which was already prepared for them thankfully. Violette sat between Jungwon and Sunghoon, and to her front was Jay.
"Can i have that?" He pointed at the fries that was unseen by the girl until now. She grabbed her chopsticks, dipped a fry on ketchup and fed him. The manager passed her tongs as he knew how could of a cook the girl is, he certainly watched ILAND no doubt about that.
She started putting meat on the grill and the sizzle was heaven to the ears. She brushed the provided sauce on it a couple of times before she was assured that it was going to be delicious. For a moment, all of them just wowed at the smell and the sizzle before Sunghoon spoke beside her.
"So...you two are officially over now?" Sunghoon smirked as he pointed back and forth between Jake and Vi. "It has been 24 hours hasn't it. So, yeah." Vi coolly said and Jake, though definitely sad on the inside, smiled and agreed.
"Finally, i couldn't bare hearing them calling each other...names." Sunoo shrugged as if he was disgusted. All of them laughed at it, and Vi and Jake couldn't bring themselves go look at each other's eyes, obviously embarrassed. "What do they exactly call each other?" Jay interestedly asked, a teasing grin was plastered on his lips though. Vi didn't want to hear any of it, and so she busied herself with grilling some more meat.
"Hearing Vi noona calling Jake hyung *vomit sounds* 'babe' made my insides churn." Ni-Ki teased. Vi couldn't help but smirk at the memory though. The boys all laughed and giggled at their youngest' vomiting sounds.
"Daddy, would have been better, right Vi?" Sunghoon smirked. Vi's eyes went wide. She stared at the group and only the hyungs had the knowing looks while the maknaes tilted their heads in confusion (thankfully). Vi glared at the boy beside her and pointed her tongs at him before saying: "Do you want me to grill your hands?"
"Your talking nonsense hyung." Ni-Ki shook his head in disbelief. Vi found herself sighing in relief. "Exactly." She rolled her eyes.
To Vi's relief, they changed the topic right away. They talked about what happened earlier with their first album cover shoot, and all of JaVi's moments were completely out of it. They took pictures with their phones, as well as Violette's polaroid camera.
"But...i was really touched when Noona gave me that polaroid." Jungwon started.
"Me too." The rest of the boys followed. Vi couldn't help but blush. Hearing about this made her think that her small gift was deeply appreciated, and she loved that fact. "If we were touched, i couldn't imagine what the staffs must have felt. They rarely get that." Sunghoon added, and for the first time since dinner she gave him a grateful smile. All of their words of appreciation was heaven to the ears and she was proud of herself. "It's the least i could do." She said, her voice soft and airy as she continued to toss and turn the rest of the meat, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone since she could tell that her cheeks were red.
"To be honest, i teared up infront of her." Jungwon raised a hand when he admitted. They all started to say that they started tearing up too, but when she was nowhere from sight. "The picture was already great itself, but the nickname was what got me in tears." Heeseung admitted and Vi, though in tears because of the overwhelming feeling of being appreciated, smiled. She threw head back to the ceiling and tried to inhale the tears back, but the feelings failed her. "Eyyyy, why are you crying. Hm?" Sunghoon grabbed a tissue paper and dabbed it on her tears. She chuckled but tears kept falling from her eyes. Yes, she was appreciative, but being appreciated was wholesome.
"Aish, your going to make me cry." Sunoo's voice cracked as tears formed and fell from his eyes too. Heeseung passed him a tissue paper, but he, himself, had tears forming in his eyes. Jungwon and Ni-Ki had their heads down, smiling yet tearing up. Jay and Jake glanced at each other then giggled at the sight of each having tears forming in their eyes.
Vi dried her tears out before saying: "This is silly. We shouldn't cry infront of the food, it will run away." She joked and the rest started laughing, drying their tears out in the process. For a moment the circle was filled with sniffing sounds before they all turned quiet and then started laughing.
This was family. Their family.
