How It Starts

You grew up with your dad as a firefighter and mom as a nurse in the emergency room. Hearing all kinds of stories, you decided at a young age you wanted to be a firefighter/paramedic like your dad. Your best friends' parents were firefighters, police officers, EMT's, nurses, etc. We are all close in age, so we went from primary school to college/the academy together. Seokjin aka Jin and Yoongi were the oldest, a year behind was Namjoon aka Joon, Hoseok aka Hobi, and yourself; a year behind us was Jimin, Jungkook aka Kookie or JK, and Taehyung aka Tae. The eight of us were inseparable from sleep overs to homework sessions. We celebrated birthdays, first kisses, and picked on each other for crushes. We supported each other's aspirations; Jin and Hobi wanting to be paramedics, Yoongi, Tae, and Jungkook firefighters, Namjoon a police officer, and Jimin a nurse. Each person wanting to help others in times of need and to keep their family traditions alive in continuing the line of first responders.

Currently Jin and Tae are sleeping over your house as their parents are on shift, this would happen with the group taking turns with the kids staying over to help out when shifts overlap and continued as we got older out of tradition. Jin looks at you and Tae and says "So do either of you have a crush on anyone?", you look at Jin and says "Do you?" eyebrow quirked up, Jin with a smirk says "Touché, in fact I do.", Tae looking shook "Really who?", Jin blank faced says "Not until you answer me first and as a hint I like someone a year younger, a Junior", Tae still looking shook "I do have a crush and they are in the same grade.", you sit there smugly smirking at the answers for both knowing who each is likely crushing on when they both turn on you and ask "what about you?" Your smirk turns blank, and you look them both in the eye with a deadly serious look "I do however I would never act on it because I'm not their type." Both look surprised and suspicious (you are really open about your crushes but as they think about it you haven't mentioned anyone in a long time), but they know better than to push you. You look at Jin and Tae smirk back in place "So will you spill who?" Jin flushes and looks down "I want to but I'm afraid you'll think differently of me." You and Tae glance at each other knowingly, both of you understanding why he feels so nervous, and you say, "Jin I know I haven't officially told you but I'm bi so whatever you're afraid of I would never judge." Tae takes a deep breath and says, "I'm bi as well this is the first time I'm saying it out loud" and he peers at you saying, "you've been very open about it and I'm proud of you." You smile at Tae appreciative of his acknowledgement and then Jin looks over bright red in his Worldwide Handsome face "I'm bi as well but my crush is male and I know he had always said he's straight." You look at Jin and Tae, both appear sad and stuck in their heads, you decide to tell them, "Your crush is bi Jin; as is yours Tae" you state matter of factly with both turning their heads so fast you think they may get whiplash. Jin and Tae both yelling out simultaneously "You don't know who it is!" You smile evilly "I do Jin likes Joonie and Tae likes Kookie." Both sets of jaws drop and you smile, you tell them they are both obvious and oblivious to their crushes returning their feelings. They gasped on finding out the others return their feelings. With another smirk you say "now will you please act on it because it's getting annoying to watch", both were too stunned to talk or react and you couldn't help but to laugh. Tae clears first and tentatively asked "Please tell us who your crush is?" You stop laughing and blank your face again and remind them you are not their type. You've heard it from their own mouth and tell Tae and Jin quickly it will go away anyway. The boys look sadly at you knowing you would never lie about something like not hearing them say it and can't imagine the feelings that would come from that. Seeing them looking upset you smile brightly putting your acting class credits to good work and say "It's okay guys really; crushes are fleeting for me" and you wink. "Maybe I'll go out this weekend and pick someone up to occupy my mind." You don't notice both men gazing at you sadly. Unfortunately knowing this crush has been going on for a very long time and you don't see that ending anytime soon, maybe a hook up will help dull it you consider. Jin and Tae begin to laugh and Jin says "you always amaze us." Smirking again you say "Really do you think a crush would bring someone as fabulous as me down?" They throw pillows at you and we start to make plans for them to confess their feelings. I can do this, I repeat in my head, I wouldn't ruin my friendship with Yoongi just because of a crush plus he told Kookie and Joonie even if I was the last person on earth he'd want nothing to do with me, guess all the care he gave me was only because he did the same with the other boys but likely only included me because I'm the lone girl. I'll just avoid him so he doesn't have to fake it anymore, he was my best friend out of the group or at least I thought so until I heard what he said. I shake my head to get rid of thoughts of him and focus on my friends, seeing them happy is enough plus I really need to workout more and lose more weight to be in better shape for my future profession and passion, that'll be enough for me.
