The only thing I really felt was the air blowing on my furr, and the heat of the cigarette at my fingers.

The sound of vehicles slowly moving up and down the road with the snail like traffic. "Hey." I was slightly startled but kept my cool. "Oh its you again."  I blew out a puff of my cigarette and turned his way. Just for my eyes to see another fan I guess. "How's the job?" I looked as he slowly pulls out his pack and lit a fag with his zippo. "It's alright, the pay isn't bad." There was a short stop in the conversation as I listened how he blew out. "So when is this conversation getting interesting?" "Guess I'll be the lead then." He replied. "It's been a long time." I immediately spat at him. "I don't know you." "It's been a long time since I've seen you in the field Shadow, why did you stop fighting for the people?" "Because I chose too. And by the way what's your name?" After another quick pull he replied angrily. "Martin!" "Oh yeah." I calmy replied. "What was your reason Shadow?" "You really want to know?" "Yes, tell me." I slowly took a long pull... And let out again.... "I felt like it." "Hey c'mon Shadow you gave people more hope than Sonic ever could, he's blue and your are black with red stripes you even have a cooler color scheme, you've inspired so many people, you are a hero what could have possibly changed your mind." While he kept on ranting about being a hero I stepped on my cigarette and slowly walked away into the shadow of the building. The day was same as usual, I skipped lunch and decided to visit Amy at her flower shop.

Street loading...

I stopped my motorbike a short walk away from her shop to make the surprise a bit better at the window I lurk staring at Amy from the window. Her beautiful smile was shining and her eyes were glowing, but I knew they had an even better look when I'm around her. Their was a customer in front of her, a tall, grey, male wolf with a interesting leather jacket on. He seemed to be bigger than me with his arms en body being more muscular.

Amy POV

I was looking his blue eyes and they were pretty in a way but not attractive. "Are you here for a special someone?" I asked with a little charm. He looked at me and stated. "I am here for something else." I blinked and I wanted to say something but he interrupted me. "My name is Max the gray wolf young lady and I am here for you, your pink furr is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, your smell reminds me of a flower that just started blooming and your eyes are the reason I am so interested." He said with a low and deep voice. But, yet again I wanted to say something but, interruption. The doors flew open and in came the black lighting."Hello miss Rose." The wolf was glaring at me with his teeth almost showing. "He quickly fixed his face and looked back at Amy. "Well I have to go I'll come back tomorrow." "Okay" I felt small as he walked past me his eyes looking forward as mine with a dark look, as mine. "What was that all about?" I asked with a eye brow glowing up. "He's a... Wolf, and he seems nice. I think he's looking for a job. He said he was interested in something else." Looking back at him walking down the street anger filled my veins, but I calmy replied. "He doesn't look like the flower shop type to be honest." It wasn't long until we forgot about him and started our lunch together. Before I got onto my motorcycle Amy gave me a quick goodbye kiss and it was back to work as usual.

Typing on the computer I hear the rolling wheels of a chair moving my way. "Where did you go Shadow?" I closed my eyes and stopped typing. "Martin can I just do my job please, I'll talk to you in my next smoke break. "Deal!" He quickly said as he rushed away."

He followed me like a pet as I was walking out to get a smoke. On the way, talking about me and my long lost heroic acts. "You sound like a really big fan, you probably know it wasn't age." "Yes, well my guess is you saw something in the field that made you want to stop." I closed my eyes, shook my head and lit my cigarette. "It wasn't, I took someones life, and I enjoyed it. Too much. But it was necessary." "B-but, that's a dumb reason." "What do you know, you haven't seen what I've seen." "I can understand you felt bad, but." I quickly cut him off. "I knew if I continued with my bloodshed there would have been no end." He was quiet just continued on smoking. He finnaly stopped with it and looked at me with dissapointment. "Frowning won't change anything." "But Shadow, you were a Hero, how can you just abandon that, people in this world still need you, sonic is getting older and you're not. I know you are a hero of the past but don't lose your power, your strength, the stories people tell about you sound like myths but, they're true and when people see you walking by they still talk about you and question why you turned into a waste of immense potential." "I understand your frustration and thanks, I get it but it's not happening right now and I don't want to get your hopes up, maybe when there's a supervillain worth taking seriously."

Road loading...

I drove back to the street where Amy's flower shop is located. I looked at it as it was dark and it had already closed an hour ago. "This is going to be interesting." I said to myself. The wolf was following me this whole time. He got out of his sedan and walked towards me, my bike shut off and my helmet on the back seat. "How can I help you Max?" I asked.
He immediately came at me with knuckle dusters and dusted my left cheek off with it. "Oh so it's like that!" Grabbing his wrist I pull him closer to my forehead, breaking his snout amd then crushing the weapon around his fingers causing him to panic. He punched me yet again, me retaliating I throw one back and he caught it, I kicked him immediately to his knee and punched him in his left eye. He kicked me back but on my chest causing me to fly back a few steps. "You're quiet I see." "I don't need to talk, only fight." He jumped back and as he was reaching into his pocket I used my speed advantage to remove the revolver from his grasp and place it into mine. "Guns don't work on me, to be honest nothing really does. Bullets barely hurt me." I threw him the firearm at an amazing speed, I was already on my bike before he hit the ground. Speeding away.
