"What the hell is he thinking," Ty mutters as he steps from the pack house. "25 years I've spent making that pack one to be proud of, and that idiot will ruin it. I can't believe I let fags take over."
Climbing back into his vehicle, Ty speeds away from the house, his goal clear. To make his son's 'mate' disappear, just as he did to the boy the Moon Goddess tried to give him as a mate. Ty knew, then, that there was a group of rogues within a day's drive of the pack house, mostly made up of fags kicked out of their packs.
When he'd felt the mating pull to that human boy at 18, he'd snuck out and found the group, and paid the leader, a man named Todd calling himself the Alpha, to get rid of the boy. He told Todd that the boy was trying to make a move on his girlfriend, and he wanted the boy out of the way. Ty smirked at the memory of the boy pleading for help as the rogues took turns with him before killing him.
He'd never told anyone, of course. He let them think he'd never found his mate, and two years later, when his father suggested taking a chosen mate to be his Luna, and suggested the daughter of a friend who hadn't found her mate, Ty knew it was perfect. If only the bitch had been as airheaded as his father, he'd have marked her, and to the lowest hells with her goddess-blessed mate. But no, she held out hope, and insisted on a simple human marriage rather than a full mating.
Instead, Ty had tracked down a warlock, and had him place spells on Angela's engagement ring and wedding band. The spells blocked mating pulls, so that if she ever came across her mate, as long as she had her rings on, she'd never even know. They'd been content for almost 30 years, and now the bitch had to have an original thought, and go against him over those damn fags.
Ty arrives at the edge of the rogues' territory, parks his car, and walks the rest of the way in. As he approaches the house, he finds it unusually quiet. He knocks on the door, and a man who resembles Jeremiah answers the door.
"What do you want?" The man asks angrily.
"I'm looking for Alpha Todd," Ty answers. "I need his help. Some asshole bewitched my son into taking a false mate, and I want that mate gone."
"Alpha Todd is dead. I'm Alpha Dale." The man says. "Some pack came through here two months ago, and nearly wiped us out. My own mate went missing, and I can't even track him by his mark for some reason."
"I'm sorry for your loss. Do you know what pack?" Ty asks, nervous. Golden Moon was the only pack in the area, to his knowledge. He'd ordered warriors to leave the area alone when he was Alpha, but never told anyone what was here
"Hell if I know," Dale mutters. "Smelled a hell of a lot like you, actually. Boys, take him."
That was the only warning Ty got before darkness fell over his head, and he was knocked unconscious.
When he wakes, he is bound with chains dipped in wolfsbane-laced silver, in some kind of cell. Dale approaches, and punches him.
"Damn spy. Come to see how many are left, so you can finish us off, huh? Where the hell is my mate?!" He roars
"I'm not a spy. I always kept the pack away from your area. I just want to get rid of the fag that tricked my son into mating him, I swear. Some royal brat who thinks he can have whatever he wants by claiming to be pregnant." Ty spits out
"Royal brat?" Dale sneers, then his expression becomes thoughtful "Describe this 'royal brat,' and maybe I'll let you live."
"My son called him Hunter, son of the king and queen. He's 5'9", white-blond hair, pale skin, dark blue eyes," Ty rushes out.
"Well, well, well;" Dale says. "So, Useless found his name and family. Too bad I know where he is now. And you, asshole, just gave me back my chosen mate."
"I did?" Ty questions, "then you'll get him away from my son, and let me go, right?"
Dale bursts out laughing. "Fool. Are you sure you want to go back to your pack and tell them you just offered up the Guardian to Rogues?" he snickers. "Let alone your own son's mate. You'd be killed for treason, and they'd probably make it slow and painful."
"What does the Guardian have to do with my son's mate'?" Ty asked, confused.
"Oh, Goddess, they didn't tell you. That boy, the one you called Hunter, IS the guardian." Dale says, and Ty pales. "We kept him hidden here for years, after that she-wolf crossed our territory carrying the little mutt. Todd killed her, and was going to kill the pup, till he saw his birthmark. He figured we could keep him from coming into his power if we made sure he never knew about it. When he didn't shift at 13, he was ranked below Omega status, and two years later, I was brought in to suppress him even further, by claiming him as my mate. We kept him under wraps till the full moon two months ago. I'm not sure what happened, but your pack attacked, my mate bond snapped, and most of us were killed. Not more than 20 or 30 left."
"Goddess, what have I done?" Ty whispers to himself.
Dale punches Ty in the stomach, then kicks him in the face as he doubles over. "Homophobic asshole, you just killed your own son, his spawn, and a Guardian. And yourself. Imagine how your pack will suffer, feeling your death," he says, before taking Ty's head in his hands and twisting it violently, snapping his neck.
Ty's body falls to the floor as Dale leaves the room. "And now, time for revenge...and to kill that Useless little slut."
