"OK, Your Majesty," Nurse Kimber says excitedly, "it's time to push. Your boys are ready to make their appearance. Do you have names picked out?"

Grace, Luna of the Silver Dawn Pack, Queen of the werewolves, looks at her mate, Orion, and says "Hunter and Archer. We'll decide which is which when we see them."

King Orion takes his mate's hand, and kisses her forehead as she begins to push. Several minutes later, a small cry is heard. Kimber tilts the baby towards his parents, keeping him close to her. After that first cry, the baby is quiet.

"That one is Hunter," declares Grace.

Kimber rushes from the room with the baby, as Grace begins the process of delivering his twin. Time seems to stand still as another, louder cry is heard. This twin is anything but quiet, his angry cries echoing down the hallway.

"And there is Archer," says King Orion.

Kimber returns to the delivery room, sad and empty handed. Grace and Orion look at her, confused.

"Where is Hunter?" Asks Grace.

"I'm sorry, your majesties. He stopped breathing." Kimber answered. "I have to go."

Kimber runs from the room as the king and queen break down in tears. Archer is brought to them, and they hold him close as they mourn the loss of his twin. Several minutes later, as they dry their eyes, they call for Kimber.

"We would like to see Hunter," says the king, "to say goodbye"

The other nurses leave the room, hurrying through the pack hospital, searching for Kimber and the baby. They are shocked to find that Nurse Kimber had handed in her resignation and left just after giving the king and queen the news of the child's death. However, the newborn prince is nowhere to be found.

Reluctantly, the nurses return to the delivery room to notify the new parents of their child's disappearance.

"Gone?" Says the king, "What do you mean, they're gone?"

"We're sorry, Your Majesty. It seems that as soon as Nurse Kimber told you that Prince Hunter had stopped breathing, she put in her notice of resignation, and she and the prince disappeared." The head nurse explained. "Given that, it's possible she lied about the boy's death. We will set trackers on her trail immediately."
