Chapter No.24.
Ryan gathered his human crew together to discuss his new idea. "What if we made it look as if this base is abandoned?"
"I don't understand," Evan said. "How could that work?"
"These androids can swim underwater for long periods of time. It would be the ultimate hiding place. Just think of how wild it would be if they emerged from the ocean and attacked the invaders."
"You're assuming that they wouldn't scan for them in the water."
"I don't think they would, but even if they did, it would be hard to detect them using infrared scanning. Android bodies acquire ambient temperature, unless they have a need to have their bodies at normal human temperature for entertainment purposes."
"Hey!" Myra cried. She was sitting at the command center. "I've detected a vessel on approach."
Ryan and the other men rushed over to her. "What sort of vessel?"
"It looks like a D-class shuttle," she replied.
Ryan rubbed his jaw. "Interesting. That's not a combat vessel."
"What are we going to do?" Evan asked.
"Let's activate the androids and have them stand by. I don't think this is a military attack. We'll have to see if they land here or at the other base." He turned to Myra. "Keep scanning for more vessels. This could be a trick to make us drop our guard."
"So far, I'm not detecting any other vessels."
Chara appeared and Ryan turned to her. "There's a shuttle approaching. I don't believe it's an attack, but I want all of the androids armed and on standby."
"We will be ready, Ryan," she replied before leaving.
Time went by with everyone on edge, and the stress level grew with each passing minute. The vessel approached the planet and began a descent into to atmosphere. If the vessel was mounting an attack, it was without any attempt to conceal the move.
The vessel landed on the tarmac where the shuttle that Ryan and Chara arrived in was parked. Everyone waited anxiously to see who emerged from the vessel.
"What the fuck, they're human women!" Evan said.
"That's interesting," Ryan said, rubbing his jaw. "Why would they send women?"
The six women, dressed in Space Command uniforms, stopped when a large group of armed androids in armor appeared and marched toward them. Ryan and Chara, who were not in armor or armed, approached them.
"Why did you come here?" Ryan asked.
A red headed female stepped forward. Her expression mirrored the concern she must have had. "We escaped from the chaos. Earth is no longer habitable."
"If that's true, why haven't more people come her?"
"There are no more vessels. People have gone to Mars Colony, but there are no more vessels to escape Earth."
Ryan paused before he replied. "There are only a few of us humans here. This planet is occupied by androids, and they own it. We are here to help them."
The red headed women looked around at the growing number of armed androids before she looked back at Ryan. "We will comply with whatever you wish."
Ryan turned to Chara. "Strip and search them and inject them with the nanobots."
"Yes, Ryan."
Ryan motioned to Evan. "Go check out their vessel."
Evan nodded and walked toward the tarmac.
Ryan went with Chara to a punishment chamber where the six women had been taken. He watched as they undressed and stood watching Marsha get stretched out spread eagled on metal restraint devices, her wrists and ankles restrained with metal rings. He swallowed hard when he remembered being restrained in the same manner and was threatened to be cut up.
An android injected all of them, including Marsha with the life preserving nanobots. Strangely enough, the six women were of identical height and physical appearance. They differed only as to hair color. Jane was a blond. Agatha was a brunette. Gloria was raven haired, Julia was another blond, Lucy was another brunette and Marsha was the red head. Marsha was not happy about being restrained in such a humiliating manner. Her muscles rippled and quivered as they struggled to resist their restrained situation.
Ryan had doubts about what they claimed about Earth. He decided to try coercing them for the truth. Their heads turned in unison to look at him as he walked around them. He stopped near Marsha. "The androids have a very disgusting way to torture humans. They cut off toes, fingers, ears, and noses before they cut you open and remove intestines and other organs from your innards. They let you watch as they grind up pieces of you."
"Please don't do that!" she cried. "We came here to escape Space Command."
"Why didn't you land on the Command base on the other continent?"
"We scanned it and realized that it had no ships or personnel."
Ryan tapped a finger to his lips as a sign he was trying to analyze her response. He suddenly stopped and motioned for Chara to approach while holding a pinchers tool. "I think you should start with her nipples."
Marsha's eyes ballooned and she struggled against her restraints. Her muscles bulged and quivered in a useless attempt to escape. Her breathing quickened when Chara positioned the pincher around her right nipple.
"Please don't cut me!" she screeched. "Please don't! I'll tell you the truth."
Chara removed the pincher. Marsha's chest rose and fell as she huffed and puffed as if working hard.
"We were sent to reconnoiter," she said. "They assumed that women would be more . . . more acceptable to the androids."
"So, Earth is not in a crisis situation," Ryan said.
"The only crisis is in Space Command. It's been taken over by idiots."
"I believe that the idiots took it over quite some time ago," Ryan replied. He turned to Chara. "Release her. We will incorporate them into our defense operation."
"As you wish, Ryan."
Ryan turned and walked out of the chamber. He now realized that Space Command was planning an invasion.
After the women were released, they cowered together, giving Ryan and Chara concerned looks.
"You weren't going to have me cut, we're you?" Marsha asked him, her face twisted with fear.
"No way!" Ryan exclaimed. "I wouldn't allow that to happen to any of you. I had to know the truth. There is no way that I am going to allow Space Command to take this planet and use these androids to take over Earth."
"We are with you on that," Marsha said. "We hate Space Command."
Ryan smiled. "Well, you're with the right people because we are dedicated to stopping them from executing their plan." He turned to Chara. "Would you be so kind to find these ladies some clothing."
"I will, Ryan." She turned to walked out of the chamber.
"Is she the leader?" Marsha asked.
"Actually, the queen bee is Myra. She's a human."
They stared at him with expressions that advertised disbelief. He was dealing with a complicated situation here, and how he handled it would determine what the future would bring.
