12. Healing Injuries

It was dark outside and we were standing at the entrance of a home with a crest that read 'Wisteria'.

'So this is the generous house she was telling me about.'

"A wisteria family crest..."

*CAW*

"Rest! Rest! Since you've sustained injuries, you're to rest until you're fully recovered." The crow squaked.

'I really didn't take any injuries except for mental, but Okay.'

"Huh? You sure it's OK to rest? I mean, I did just fight a demon while I was injured. Besides we can ask (M/n) to-"

"I refuse to heal you."

Tanjiro's face went pale by my quick answer.

"You need to rest the normal human way. The healing dome doesn't help with exhaustion. Hence, I refuse to use any sort of healing."

"Ke-ke-ke." The bird seem to be laughing at my quick response and the paleness of Tanjiro's face.

Tanjiro turned back to normal and looked at the bird questionaly.

"Ke-ke-ke?" He repeated, but in a more confused tone.

"Let's eat this." Inosuke said, gripping the crows tail.

"What?" The crow started to sweat.

"Yes?" A elderly woman appeared out of the now open entrance.

"Uh? Sorry to bother you so late at night!"

"A ghost! It's a ghost!" Zenitsu shivered.

I eye rolled at his usual antics.

"Knock it off!" Tanjiro scolded.

"Who the hell are you?" Inosuke asked. He walked up to the old lady.

"You must be demon slayers?" She concluded, completely ignoring the advancement of the pig head man.

"She looks pretty weak." Inosuke poked the woman's gray hair.

"Hey!" Tanjiro continued to scold.

"Please come in."

"That old lady sure walks fast!"

"That's because your walking to slow, Zenitsu."

"This is where you'll be staying."

Opening the door I see the woman has provided a change of clothes for us.

"A change of clothes."

Opening the same door after changing, I see that the same woman had prepared food.

"And here is your meal."

"She has to be a monster, Tanjiro! That old lady's a monster! She's so quick, it's eerie! She's a monster! A monster ha--" Tanjiro hit Zenitsu on the back of the head for insulting the elderly.

Inosuke was recklessly his food.

'Somehow he was able to make his fight style and eating style exactly the same. Great.'

"Use your chopsticks." Zenitsu asked blandly.

Inosuke ignored Zenitsu's light demand and ate food from Tanjiro.
