So now I'm standing here getting my 19th mug shot taken for a crime I did not do, I must admit I have been here many of times but for menial crimes, same place same person taken the photo but this time for a different reason, a reason that will lock me up for life unless we can prove it was not me.
Let's go back to the start where it all begun....
I come from a small town in the middle of no where Alice springs I was born and raised in Alice till about year half way throw year 6, my names Miranda Nona Fitzroy, I have a hard time hitting in places as I'm "different" to everyone else I don't like to talk about girl shit do makeup or paint my nails I would much prefer to go to the skate park with the guys and rip up the half pipe on my skateboard. My very first crime was shop lifting, now I know your going to be disappointed in me for such a stupid thing. See I wanted to fit in with the "cool kids", now the "cool kids" of my school Smith middle where all held back in year 7 a few years 3 to be right. They would all ways walk the halls pushing people out of the way taking there money and hitting them of course they got away with it all as the teachers where all scared for them, they have been put up for murder and many other things that could put them away for life but of course got out of it because of there parents being the town cops because of there parents being the cops what ever they said went if they'd said you where the one that did the crime then you where the one put away for it no if ands or buts no questions asked not even a phone call was allowed to let your parents know what was going on but because of everyone put up for the crime was under 18 you where only held for 48 hours.
So back to my crime, shop lifting. They told me that if I wanted to be apart of there group I had to do what they said no matter what and I wasn't allowed to say no. They called me at 12.01am to come out side to there're car, I asked them if I could know where we were going so they blind folded me and told me I'm not to know the location until we got there. I was blind folded for what felt like 2 hours when really it was only an hour the car went quite as they all got out to most likely discuss what I was to do. Greg the ring leader told me to remove the blind fold and hope out, he told me that my task was to steal a playboy magazine lame I know, but I still did it thinking that I would only have to do one crime to get into the group. They told me to put my hood up and not to look at the man at the counter to just walk into the back right on the store put it up my jumper and leave, seems easy thinking about it but in reality not the easiest task.
So I put my hood up and walked this walk felt like it was going for ever, with ever step I took my heart raced and I shook knowing I was about to do something that I would go to jail for something that could stop me from getting the job I wanted but this didn't stop me. When I finally reached the shop doors I took a deep breath in and reached out for the door pulling in towards me, as I walked throw the shop I couldn't help but thing to my self that It will be easy and that I will be fine, i reached the magazine rack and grabbed the first playboy one I saw it had a bleach blonde tanned chick wearing a very small tight pink shear pink bikini, hot if you asked me. I put it up my jumper making sure there wasn't any cameras or that the worker wasn't anywhere near me where he could see what I was doing, as I went to walked out I saw the others but they had moved they where at the end of the car park where it was dark as I left the store I saw the worker putting the phone down so I walked a little faster towards the car, the others walked around the corner I thought they must just be having a smoke so I also went around the corner as I did I pulled the magazine out from under my jumper I held it out saying "here you go" someone took it and as they did the car lights turned on, I had just handed the stole magazine to the cops great.
I knew right away that, that was it I had been set up and I felt hurt but like a good hurt as I learnt a lesson about these people and how to play there games. On the way to the police station nothing was said the cops just laughed at the radio I also laughed, one of them turned around and started asking for my name number home number and what was going on in my head I answer with the truth swearing once or twice might as well as I'm all ready going to jail, once we got there I was told
to walk straight into the station and to not make eye contact or say anything and to sit down at the far end and then wait.
I waited for about 5 minutes until one of the cops a female walked over to me telling me to stand up it was time to take my photo, as we went in to take my mug shot they handed me my bored written on it my name and the numbers 73121669, I was scared knowing I had to spend 48 hours in jail.
