"I'm Simon. Simon Cowell," my "father" said.

Simon Cowell, my father? I don't think so.

"Hello, Simon," I said to him then turned to Coach Don, "So, my father? Where is he?" I asked suddenly grinning like an idiot.

"Ana, I am your father," Simon said.

I just stood there. I stood there and stared. In total disbelief. There was no way Simon Cowell was my father! No way possible. Well, I do have a bit of a city accent with a pinch of British. And I am kinda tall, my hair is brown. I have his eyes and his nose shape. Oh my God! Simon Cowell is my father!

My mouth dropped as I came to this conclusion. I've always thought about a celebrity being my father, but not a British Celebrity! This is quite actually shocking.

"Ana, can I take you to starbucks or something to explain?" He asked. I looked at everyone as if I was silently asking permission. Looked back at him and nodded.

-----------

"Do you want anything?" He asked. I just shook my head.

"So tell me, what has your mom told you about me," he asked, still trying.

"Absolutely nothing," I said as I shook my head, "I've never asked. It seems to be a touchy subject to her." I explained.

"Really. Well do you want to know?" He asked, he seemed shocked. I nodded my head and waited on him in anticipation.

"Me and your mother met in our college years. I was a senior at Flordia State and she was touring, obviously just graduated. She was georgous. I accidentally bumped into her and it felt like love at first sight. One thing led to another and she ended up pregnant, and had to drop out," he said stopping long enough to take a sip of his drink.

"Shes always told me she never went to college," I said, it was my turn to be shocked.

"Well she did, but didn't. She was only enrolled for 2 or 3 months," he said. I just nodded, my signal for him to continue.

"But about 5 months into the pregnancy, I was asked to go back to London to start my buisness. I told your mother and she blew it totally out of proportion-" he said before I cut him off.

"Now I'm certain your not lying," I said. Which earned a chuckle from him.

"Yes, well, she left me. Leaving me devistated. I tried for my last 2 weeks in America to convince her you needed me and to come live with me. I told her I would give her anything she could ever want. But she just kept telling me to leave her the Hell alone. So I did, And went to London. Became wealthy and famous. But never did I ever hear from your mother. I even tried writing a couple times, but got a letter saying she moved. I hope you aren't mad at me. I tried my harded, but she didn't want me there," he said now holding my hand in his.

"No, I'm not. Why would I? I just need answers from my mother now," I explained while getting up to leave, " I'll talk to you later." I said and started to walk out the door.

"Ana." I stopped and looked at him, "Can we hangout tomarrow?" He asked. I nodded as I felt tears prick my eyes.

My father doesn't hate me. He actually wants me and tried to keep me. It's my mother I can't trust. And now I never will again.

----- at home----

"Adriana May! You are late!" My mother yelled as I got home.

"Would you like to know where I was, mother dear?" I asked with as much attitude as I could muster.

"Don't talk to me like that! And yes, where where you!" She said still yelling.

"With my father!!" I yelled with a snide smile on my face.

She stopped dead in her tracks. She just stared at me, her mouth dropped as if she was going to say something, then shut. She looked to the ground and spoke, "How'd you find him?"

"Coach Don found him," I said, not yelling or with attitude anymore. I think she feels bad already.

"Did he know you?" She asked as she pretended to play with her nails.

"Its hard not to. You were right, I look just like him." I said smiling.

"Yeah, you really do," she said softly as she started to cry," what did he tell you?"

"Everything. How you met, college, london, him trying to convince you to go with him, you refusing. Him writing and the letter he got back," I said now getting mad again.

"Oh," she said as tears started to stream her face again.

"Oh? Is that all I get? Oh? I just met my honest father, and now I'm fighting with my lying mother and all I get is Oh?" I said yelling again. I didn't mean to yell, it just came out that way.

"I'm Sorry, Ana!" She yelled back, "I didn't want you to blame me, or him," she said.

"Ok, so you lie to me for 17 years and whos to blame then! You lied to me for 17 years," I said now I was crying," I grew up thinking I was unwanted, unloved, only knowing half of myself. People ask me ,constantly , questions about my father, or heritage, or if I'm half indian, and I never answer. I have to say no, cause thats what I grew up knowing!" I said.

"I'm sorry," she said again, crying now even harder.

"Yeah. I'm staying with KC tonight, "I said as I walked out and to KC's house.

When I got there I told her everything. Then fell asleep from crying so much.
