Chapter 16

Adriana's POV

"Adriana, your going to die."

I stayed in my position, head on Harry's chest and my legs along Liams chest, shocked. I had fallen asleep the night before to Liam stoking my calf.

The words had come from a man, a tall man. He was buff, and had brown hair and was buzz cut. I had seen him before, but I didnt know when, or how.

"Ana, who is this?" Niall asked as he woke up.

"I dont know Ni," I say still trying to figure the answer out myself.

"Adriana. Dont kid yourself, you know damn well who I am," He said as he unfolded his arms and let them hang down beside his body.

I shook my head, confused. "No. I. Dont." I said slowly trying to remember who he was.

"Adriana, I shot your boyfriend. I tried to kill him, and now, Im going to kill you," He said as he pulled out a gun and shot.

I dodged the bullet and the guys started going crazy, Liam called 911, but I dont know how buzz cut didnt see him.

"Whoa!" I said as I held my hands up. "How do you know me, and who are you?" I asked as I slowly walked towards him.

"Adriana, I have known you since you were born. I was supposed to be there when you were born, but I wasnt. I know you, but you dont know me," He said. "I am part of you and your part of me. I dont want you to be alive though. I never did. You are a mistake, and nothing more," He said, and with that, he walked out, running away as fast as he could.

I didnt see which direction he went in, or if he went in a car, all I saw was a blur as tears began to stream down my face.

"Ana, what did he mean?" Liam asked from behind me.

I shook my head as I tried to collect myself, "I dont know Li, I have no clue," I said as I turned around showing my now tear stained face, and opend my arms wide. The boys quickly ran to me, enveloping me in a big group bear hug, while I cried into each of their shoulders.

"What are we going to do?" I asked inbetween huffs, I couldnt breathe due to the crying. "He wants me dead, hes going to kill me," I said again through huffs of air as I tried desperatly to calm my heart beat, and my tears.

"I dont know Adriana." Liam replied as he began crying as well. he wiped away his tears as he took me by my shoulders protectively and continued speaking, "But I do know one thing. I lost you once and I will not ever loose you again."

Those words brought tears to flood down my face again, "thanks Li," I said as I hugged him once more.

"Are you sure Geoff is her father?" Zayn asked as he looked at the birth certificate we found in my moms room the night after her funeral.

"Thats what the certificate says," Liam said as he released me and walked to Zayn, whilst wiping his tears away for the final time.

"But feel this," Zayn said as he handed it to Liam. "It feels like reagular paper. My birth certificate is more like card stock, not paper," Zayn said as he felt it once more.

"Zayn, what are you getting at?" I asked as I wiped my years and approched him cautiously.

"What I'm getting at is, I think her mother, or both of yalls mum made a fake birth certificate." Zayn said as he pointed to me and sometimes to Liam.

"Do you really think she would do that?" Harry asked suddenly interested in our conversation.

"I dont put anything passed my mum," Liam said matter-of-factly.
