CHAPTER 8

Normally I would hear my alarm buzz till I wake up from sleep by exactly 7:50am but today was different instead of the constant buzz I hear “Emmy wake up” which sounded a lot like Mia but I was still adamant to her call but she didn’t give up still until I got up out of annoyance.

To my utmost surprise, Mia was changed into prettier clothes than that of yesterday, I was going to ask where she got them from but I assume she brought them with her.

“Woo Mia you look stunning”

“Thanks”

I took a shower and by the time I got out, Mia had picked out a white knee level flay skirt, a white top, a pink jacket and a matching heel which was dad’s last gift to me.

“So…what do you think”

‘It’s nice” I had to admit Mia did have a great fashion sense.
I took the clothes back into the bath room and changed into them.

“How do I look” I asked Mia

“Woo you look like a badass girl”

“I know” I giggled.

“Now remember no matter the amount of looks you get always always keep your head up high and for no reason should you look down”

“Yes ma”

“now may I restyle your hair”

“sure”

I was so used to styling my hair in pony tails I have never imagined myself in another thing but Mia proved me wrong by doing a little twist at the front of my hair and not only did I look good I felt good.

After Mia was done doing my makeup we went down for breakfast, mom had already made toast and I could see she was shocked by my new look.

“Morning mom” I said giving her a side hug.

“This is my friend Mia, Mia this is my mom”

“morning Mrs. West”

“Morning kids how was your night ” Mom finally said handing us a cup of tea and a toast.

“It was nice” we replied in union.

I was about to ask about Mason when I remembered he was at a sleep over and would be back today.

I wasn’t even done with my roast when I heard Jace honing like a mad person mtcheew.

“Bye mom”

“Bye love, I will be busy today please make sure you pick mason up from school”

“Alright”

I really feel bad for mom she has being working extra hard lately to cater for us, Mia was right I really need a job.

"Woo emmy are u going for a modeling"

I didn't reply to Have comment but I actually giggled along with Mia.

I was about to get in the front sit when Mia over took me. Great I keep forgetting Jace is no longer single but I would have to keep promising myself that Mia would never take away Jace.

We finally arrived at the school and Jace parked in the parking lot, on a normal base  would wait for Jace to go in so I don’t draw attention to myself but today was different I wanted the attention so I came down

I took Mia’s advice and walked with my heads up high, as I walked down the hall to my locker I could hear murmuring just like the time I got down from Ryder’s bike but today was different cause they were praising and hailing me like EMILY WEST, I put on an I don’t give a fuck look and gut my books from my locker before heading to class.

Like every other Monday’s I had chemistry first when I walked in Mrs. Snoozly was already teaching. It had only being five minute since I got in and it already felt like an hour if you ask me why yes I love chemistry and chemicals but today she was teaching the history part of chemistry and am not into those kind of stuff as in history, literature all are storytelling and they piss me off.

“Okay class, we are done for today but before you leave make sure to copy your project down I will group all of you and you are to do a search work on any chemist you know, to be submitted in two weeks time”

Great she couldn’t just get her ass out of this class but she had to bring in a project. She started grouping the entire class but I wasn’t paying attention till I heard

“And finally Emily West and Luca Swift”

You are probably wondering who Luca swift is, he is one of the best basketball player we have in Brixton high and not only that he is good looking, not a player and a straight A student.

“Hmm… Emily right”

“Yeah”

“Would you like to met tomorrow to talk about our project”

“Sure”

So after chemistry class I had three other classes till it was finally time to head to the cafeteria.

When I got to cafeteria, Jace was not sitting with his friends today but a different table with Mia. Wow seems like every single thing is different today.

When they both saw me they waved at me telling to come join them so I did. I felt awkward sitting with them cause while I was eating my burger they were too busy flirting and it was G,R,O,S,S GROSS.

I guess I only feel like this cause am single but it going to be okay hopefully. I got tired of having no one to talk to so I stopped their flirting games.

“Guys guess what happened”

“You fucked someone in the changing room” Jace said

I and Mia shout him a dirty look.

“What you said guess”

“mtcheew I grouped with Luca Swift for a chemistry project”

“So you wanna fuck him”

“Shout up Jace” I and Mia shouted.

After shouting Jace up no one said any other thing probably because there was no need to call for alarm it’s just Luca we headed back to class and it was closing time.

When I got to the parking lot as usual they were waiting for me so I joined.

We went to pick Mason up from school before going to get ice cream and finally Jace dropped I and Mason off at home before heading to God knows where with Mia.
