CHAPTER 10

I got down from his car and it felt like I had stepped into another dimension. I knew the swift’s were very rich and they even lived in the luxurious part of town but damn there house was way too magnificent.

As I took a quick look around I discovered that not only there house was huge but other houses around too were also carefully beautified with enormous gardens.As I left his parking lot and stepped into the compound I discovered that only the outside part of the house have put my entire house to shame. As we walked through the hallway I carefully studied the way the white paint mixing perfectly with the marble floor.

Getting into the main house I was more amused by the size and beauty of the house I had the admit the living room along felt like the size of my entire house, the three green sofas surrounding a fireplace and a rectangular lemon table at the center.

Taking my seat at the middle sofa I continue to admire the house when I was cut short by a little girl jumping on luca.

“Luca” she shouted

“Emily met my little sister Alya”Luca finally introduced.

Alya! Such a unique name.

“Is she your girlfriend” Alya said in a very childish tone causing me to laugh.

You couldn’t blame me for laughing in a sarcastic manner like how can you imagine someone like me dating Luca like wait I’m EMILY WEST.

“No, she’s not” Luca said while smiling at me.

“Sure” she giggled.

“Alya don’t just stand there go get something to drink for our guest”

I was about to decline but Alya had already hopped away.

“Sorry about her, she can be really energetic”

“Don’t be, I really like her” I said truthfully.

“okay then, I’m off to get the books”

Alya returned with two cups of orange juice, she handed me a cup and sat close to me, before I knew It Alya was telling me about herself and her family. I was so engrossed in the gist I almost forgot the reason I was here and I can’t deny the fact that Alya is actually fun to be with.

“Alya go play somewhere else we got work to do” I heard Luca’s voice from the Golden stairs.

“But…But Luca there’s no one to play with” she said in midst of tears.

“but I have to study Alya”Luca said.I pulled her closer and gave her a hug

“alya love, we promise to play when were done”

“Emily”Luca said which sounded more like a question.

We finally decided that we would decided that after deciding the name of our chemist we will put a stop and play with Alya.

We started going through Luca’s text to see who we will pick but Alya was making it so hard to concentrate but we finally decided to go for JOHN DALTON after carefully consideration.

Alya brought the monopoly board and placed it at the center table and we began to play till everyone was tired then we stopped to watch TV which was really fun till I looked up at the wall clock.

“shit it’s nine already”

I got up about to take my leave when Alya came to block me with her tiny body

“Not so fast, at least have pizza” she said giving me the puppy dog eyes.

I had to agreed cause who says no to little children, I sat down back and waited for the pizza delivery which Luca had just ordered.

After about fifteen minute our pizza arrived and Alya went to get it, she placed the pizza on the table with a flyer which I assume the deliver guy must have given her, I took the flyer up and on it was employee needed for Domino’s Pizza., I took the flyer and placed it in my bag hoping to apply when I get home.

We began to dig into the pizza and when we were done I picked my bad and stood up to leave when Luca offered to drop me I agreed since I wasn’t really use to walking late at night and I really didn’t know my way around this part of town.

I waved at Alya before following Luca to his parking lot and got into his car.

We finally arrived at the front of my house and I got down.

“sorry about today, I know it didn’t go as plan” Luca apologized.

“Are you kidding I actually enjoyed myself” I said with all honesty.

“okay then can we met on Friday to conclude our project”

“yeah sure”

“at least so I have you digit to call and tell you were we are meeting”

I didn’t see the need of exchanging contact if he could just tell me in school but I said yes any way.

I got inside the house and mom was asleep on the couch.

“Mom” I called out to her.

She woke up and the first thing she said was

“You’re late Emmy”

“I’m sorry mom, I lost track of time”

She looked really stressed so I didn’t want to go on with the conversation so we both made our way to our various rooms.

I took a quick shower before wearing my pajamas. I brought the flyer from my bag and took my laptop; I applied as a sales girl and a deliver girl for Domino’s Pizza before switching the laptop off.

I was already so tired I tucked myself to bed when a messaged popped up on my phone.
