word count: 3.4k LONGEST ONE YET LMAO u can tell i'm a sunwoo ult
You wished that your heartbeat wouldn't quicken at the mere mention of his name.
He was just a friend. He was everyone's friend.
Yet that's what confused you the most about him.
Around so many people, he would sit there with an expression so blank that you would sometimes question if he was even still breathing.
You'd find your eyes drifting to him whenever the conversation took over your shared, yet large, group of friends. He was always in the middle of it all, people awaiting his validation with a snicker or a cheeky grin whenever they told a joke.
Most of the time that didn't come though, but when it did - it was beautiful. No wonder everyone begged for his attention. "Y/N?"
"Huh?" You realised you had zoned out when you felt roughly ten pairs of eyes upon you.
"You're coming to Eric's party on Saturday, right?" Your best friend quizzed, her eyes gleaming hopeful for obvious reasons.
"Sure," you nodded nonchalantly, trying to not look in Sunwoo's direction.
You had hoped that maybe your response would elicit a small smile upon his face as he stared back off into space again.
But since you looked away too quick, you didn't get to see exactly that.
"Pretty!" Jiho tried her best to encourage you even though you could find every little thing to critique about yourself as you stood in front of the mirror.
Deciding that maybe it was best that you didn't spend more time looking at yourself and feeling disheartened, you turned on your heels and gave her a half-fake-half-genuine smile. She was a sweetheart, after all.
"Shall we go?" You nodded towards the door.
With a skip, the two of you ventured off to Eric's place. You noticed that Jiho couldn't stop smiling, and even though you were friends for so long - you didn't even need to ask her why.
Her crush on Eric was so obvious. So much so that if you asked her - she would simply deny it with a grin.
"You guys made it," Eric cheered as he opened the front door further. "I'm glad."
"We wouldn't miss it for the world," Jiho replied, that smitten smile on her face that almost made you giggle. "Right, Y/N?"
"Absolutely," you nodded in agreement, following her inside.
The house was kinda busy, but that was expected. Eric was kind of a social butterfly, and he had an amazing house.
"You want a tour of the place?" A voice from behind you startled you, only to turn and see Changmin behind you.
