James's birthday - the whole gang

It was James's birthday yesterday! So here is a birthday oneshot. The whole gang lives in one house. Also Reggie and Pandora. (No Xeno, Luna's a one nightstand) Just a happy 22th birthday. By the way, I headcanon Florean Fortescue as Alices uncle. Triggerwarnings: A bit of Sirius's parent issues, but IDK of that is a real trigger for someone. At the end, mention of sex. No smut.

'I've made breakfast,' Lily said. 'Come Harry, let's wake up dad!'

'Okay,' Harry said. He was two years old and today was James's 22th birthday. Lily held the breakfast and they walked upstairs. Harry knocked on the door and waited. He always waited, because once, aunties Marlene and Dorcas were not really happy when he walked in. Same with uncles Sirius and Remus.

'Come in!' James said. Lily opened the door and Harry ran in.

'Dad! Happy birthday!' he kissed his dad all over his face.

'Good morning, Harry!' James said, while hugging him.

'Happy birthday, dear,' Lily smiled.

'Dear as in d-e-a-r, or dear as in d-e-e-r?' James winked.

The three ate breakfast and went downstairs. When they entered the living room, everyone started singing.

'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!' sang Remus, Sirius, Peter, Regulus, Pandora, Frank, Alice, Marlene, Dorcas, Mary and the littles, two-year-old Neville and one-year-old Luna.

'Thank everyone!' James said.

'We have presents!' Sirius said, quite hyperactive. 'Do you want mine first?'

'Okay.'

'James, here: A present.'

James opened it and saw the last ABBA elpee. 'Oh, I love it! Thanks!'

Lilys present was a new broom, a Nimbus 1990. Harry has made a painting. Alice and Frank gave a plant, Neville a drawing. Remus and Regulus both gave a book, Dorcas and Marlene a pair of Lightning McQueen crocs, Peter baked a cake and Mary bought a coupon for ice cream by Diagon Alley. Pandora and Luna gave a abject to keep the Nargles away.

James thanked everyone again and tried his broom.

In the midday, it was time for guests. Andromeda was already in the house, when James's parents arrived. 'Happy birthday, son!' Effie and Fleamont said. 'We have a present too. Here.'

James unwrapped it and he saw a camera. 'Thank you!' he said happy. He immediately took a few pictures. Of his parents, of his friends, his beautiful wife, his son. 'I'm really happy with it!'

Lily handed them a piece of cake when they sat down on the sofa. Sirius sat down next to them. 'Effie, my mother sent a letter again.'

Regulus nodded. 'She calls us a disappointment. Like we didn't know that.'

'That letters should stop. I'll arrange it tomorrow.'

'Can- can you maybe ask my parents to stop too?' Andromeda asked. 'Its really annoying.'

'Sure! Give me the address.'

'Granny?' Harry asked, who waddled to his grandparents with a picture book. 'Will you read for me?'

'Of course I will! What book is that, Miffy? Here, come sit next to me.' Effie started reading about Miffy's bicycle. Neville and Luna joined soon. Sirius listened too. His parents or grandparents never reads for him. Only his cousins and, later, Remus. He liked the feeling of a (grand)parent reading for you.

They all stayed for dinner. Lily and Peter made James's favourite food: Pancakes. A lot of pancakes.

'Thanks everyone,' James said. 'I really love this birthday!'

'You deserve it!' Remus said. 'You are one of my best friends.'

They all raised their glasses. 'Anything for our Prongs!' they said in unison. Only Effie and Fleamont said 'son' and Harry said daddy.

'Ice cream?' Neville asked.

'There's ice cream,' his mother answered. 'I've got some of uncle Florean.'

'It was a really nice day,' James said in the evening to his wife. 'I like being 22.'

'I like it too,' Lily answered. 'Glad your day was nice. Good night, dear.' She kissed him good night. 'Do you wanna sleep, or a last present?'

'I think a last present would be nice.' James smirked. He added the silence charm.
