Wilbur's POV

AUGUST 21, 4277

"Are you sure this is a good idea? Noo Noo might yell at us again." I fretted, watching Tinky Winky and Dipsy color over the walls. The last time they did this, we all got a mouthful about being loud and destructive. "Uh-huh! It's coloring!" Dipsy childishly spoke, scribbling over the wall. I held my cat plushie close, not wanting to get in trouble again. I decided to walk away, meanwhile, Laa Laa was playing with some type of dollies. I rather play with dolls than splash the walls with multiple bright colors. I plopped down beside Laa Laa. She was still learning how to talk, whenever she did talk it would sometimes sound like babble. But she was pretty good at keeping a conversation going.

"Hi, Wilba!" She pronounced my name differently, though I don't care as much over it. "Hey Laa Laa, what are you doing?" I picked up one of the dolls, she had blonde hair and was human. I've never seen a human before, It'd be cool if I could! "Playing house with my dolls!" she cheered, simulating out her own little world.

"That's nice, do they have names?" I asked, observing some of the plastic toys. She picked up one out of my hand, "This is Gemma! I call her GG for short!" The doll had black hair in ponytails and a weirdly fitted skirt, a type of school outfit. "She plays teatime with me when you can't play," she added. "I know I haven't been around to join you for teatime lately, I will next time!" she nodded, going back to her dolls. I went to turn around to go outside but Laa Laa muttered something I could somewhat hear. "She's standing next to you right now." I shrugged it off as her trying to prank me.

I stepped foot outside, admiring the green forest. I didn't notice the sound of a vacuum riding up beside me. "Are you going out to play?" I flinched from Noo Noo speaking. "I didn't know you'd sneak up behind me!" He gave me a weird look. "You didn't hear the sounds of a vacuum blasting in your ears?" I shook my head for him to roll his eyes. "Don't tell me you're going deaf at eight years old." I panicked, thinking I was becoming deaf. I didn't want to become deaf! My hands started getting jittery, which made Noo Noo look at me bizarrely. "I'm joking, next time pay attention. I'm going to go take care of Po. Don't wander beyond the mountains, got it?" I nodded and bolted off, excited to explore on my own.

Even though I'm not siblings with the four, they still accept me as their friend. Noo Noo treats me alright but he makes jokes that are mean, they scare me sometimes. There's another member that lives here but he resides in the woods most of the time. But can pop out of the ground whenever and wherever! I should go see him, he might be lonely.

I traversed through the winding trees and paths. This place was huge but we weren't allowed to go beyond the mountains or cave. Noo Noo would warn us of scary monsters and horrifying things that could get us if we left. Tinky Winky once tried but I don't remember what happened or if he did. He certainly doesn't even remember saying or planning it. The sounds of calming music filled my ears. Signaling that he must be nearby having alone time to himself. I ran around for a couple of minutes until I saw him in the distance. Announcer was watching the rabbits pick at the flowers, not sure if watching since he doesn't have eyes. Only a speaker for a head. "Hi, Announcer." I quietly greeted him, grasping my cat plush to calm me down.

I never questioned where I got this thing from, not even Noo Noo knows. But it holds a special place in my heart, something about it means a lot to me. There's a feeling of love and comfort connected to it. The speaker part turned to me, not a single facial emotion tied to that robot. "Hello Wilbur, It's a nice day isn't it?" he asked, going back to his routine of watching the rabbits. "Yeah... I wanted to see how you are, you are usually on your own." he didn't seem to mind my company at all, he seemed to want company.

"I'm good, I should be back right now checking on Po. She's starting to walk, you know." I nodded. It was true, Po was a faster learner and I helped with teaching her to start walking. She's practically a natural! "You should, Tinky and Dipsy are being messy again and Laa Laa is staying out of trouble too. So it might be worth a shot." I could tell he had agreed with me. When he was going to leave, he stopped for a moment. "You know, you're a smart kid. Absolutely brilliant. I'm glad you're the one teaching Po basic skills." he disappeared into the ground. I was left grinning from the compliment, no one has ever called me smart before! I was alone again and wandering for my next adventure.
