And here's the older brother, well, he's only a few months older. His parents immediately got busy as soon as he was born. We've had too many wholesome sibling relationships here (Teri and Daiko, The Rewritten Destinies fam..) so let's change it up.

So Cameron is pretty much a jerk. There are odd moments here or there where he's a genuinely nice person but he's dealing with a lot of stress, moving away from home and having to stay with people with strange powers and abilities. Due to an 'accident' with someone with powers, he's grown to be distrusting of most, especially if they have a non-human origin. Perhaps over the course of the story, someone can change him?
