"Do you ever stay at your own house?" Lip walks into their room.
"Don't you have a drinking problem to be taken care of?" I asked hastily.
"How's your coke recovery going?" He responded instantly.
"Caught me there."
Lip begins climbing onto his bed. As soon as he's up there he grabs his book and spaces me out.
Ian's not home now, so I practically claim his bed while he's gone.
Ian is my neighbor. I don't speak to him much. I don't know him as well as Lip. We've got like a distant cousin kind of relationship.
Lip is his brother. He's incredibly intelligent. I honestly think that's why he acts the way he does. He'll stay very distant for a long time, but he tries to find time to talk. His relationship with Carl goes in and out sometimes, but they would kill for each other.
Carl is Lip's younger brother. He's my age and is pretty much a male version of me. We've spent so much time together the past couple of years we've become in sync.
"Have you been here all day?" Carl walked into the room. He grabs my legs and moves them so he can sit.
"Careful, she's feisty today" I hear from Lip's bed.
I fix my posture and sit up, grabbing my legs and looking at Carl. "I wanna go somewhere, do something."
Carl just looks at me for a moment before reluctantly agreeing. "Grab a coat, you'll freeze to death"

The house is kind of quiet tonight. Fiona isn't home. Plus Ian is out doing whatever. Frank's been pretty MIA since Monica passed.House is a lot quieter honestly.
It's 7:30 now, which means he'll be asleep soon. The dude went intense into the military shit once he got home. He goes to bed early as hell and wakes up early as hell.
Nights were quiet when he was gone.

Carl and I had walked a few blocks. Now we're sitting on some rock wall along the side of the street."You got a light?" I have matches, my hands are just too cold to use them.
"I never have a light on me."
I reach into my coat pockets and hand the matches to Carl. I know his hands are fine. He doesn't get cold.
I place my cigarette between my lips, creating a barrier against the wind. He strikes the match and lights the end. After, he shakes it and throws it on the street.
"Those things will kill you."
"Aren't you selling people meth Carl?"
"That kills you faster" I make sure to add on."Well, I'm not smoking it."
That is always his defense
"Plus, I'm a reliable seller"I smirk just a bit.
"You don't come around much anymore."
I kind of chuckle when he says that. "Carl I can count how many times you've been to my house."
"Your dad hates me!" He argues back with me.
"Kevin does not hate you, Carl, he loves your entire family. You are his family."
Carl rolls his eyes at me.
"You just happen to be a teenage boy who spends all your time with his teenage daughter."
Carl shrugs his shoulder at me.
"Shit, it's almost 10."
"So?" Carl responds.
"I wanna get home before too long."

Carl's view
10? She doesn't even leave my house until 11.
We're only 20 minutes away from her house."You coming over for breakfast?"
"Uh, yeah. See you bright and early." She smirks at me. Don't know why she stuttered like that.
I walk Lizzie home. She's on her phone most of the time. I've known her for a few years now. She's cool, she's kinda different from the girls we usually have around the house. Especially the ones I have.
She came around some random time last fall. One day Kevin just had a daughter. She started coming around a lot, so she didn't have to sit at the Alibi all day. We got pretty close between now and then. Lip and Ian call her my girl. It's fucking stupid.

We're at the house now. Lizzie smiles at me, says bye, then walks into her own yard, into her house.
