"I can predict the future."

Jin tilted his head, curious at your statement. "Then do you know what will happen to all of us in the future? Will we find a cure? Will everything ever go back to normal? Or will humanity perish and... and we never find the cure..."

Some people seemed to be affected by his words and looked at you eagerly, wanting to hear what you will say.

"Woah, woah, calm down. I-I only know... that I am able to predict what will happen on the next day through my dreams, so I'm really sorry, but I have no clue if we will survive or not."

The man looked visibly disappointed, but quickly gave a small, hopeful smile. "Well, at least some of us bear powers that might be a great help for humans. Although I don't know how and why we are able to do these things, the main thing we should focus on is trying to control them. Taehyung, Jimin, Namjoon, Hoseok, Yuri, and Y/N'll stay here and the rest of you can leave."

So the man's name is Namjoon.

After the crowd finally dispersed, Jin clapped his hands loudly for attention.

"Alright, so here's what I have in mind: For all of us to learn to use our powers, we'll spend every afternoon here, practicing. I'd rather that we all not go out for the time being. Not until we can properly attack or defend ourselves using them. Understood?"

Some mumbles of agreement from the people beside you.

Yuri's hand suddenly shot up.

"Jin?"

"What's wrong?"

"What is your power?"

Jin didn't answer and gave her a grin before suddenly disappearing into thin air. Just when you thought he had the same power as Hoseok, the male took form again, this time at the far end of the hall. Even if he only was able to turn invisible, it was impossible for a man to travel between two places in such a short amount of time. You watched in amazement as he disappeared again and returned to where he was within two seconds.

"Turns out I can teleport."

This is so boring. You thought while staring at the group of the people who were performing things that were not normal at all.

Hoseok was nowhere to be seen, but random chairs moving and cups tilting were evidence that he was still here, walking around. Just invisible, that's all.

Jimin was staring at a nervous-looking girl in front of him, mumbling something inaudible from time to time. Any random person who walked by would've thought it was strange, however you knew for sure he was just reading the girl's mind.

Taehyung, who seemed as bored as you, were watching the spark appear and diminish in his palm repeatedly. You figured that the spark was actually electricity, since the light bulb above him went out whenever the spark ignited.

Jin was practicing his incredible speed through waving hello from the second floor's balcony and suddenly standing in front of you in the blink of an eye. It scared you, honestly.

Yuri's power was healing, so she had to practice in the hospital by healing the patients' small wounds. You've watched her demonstration, and you had to admit that watching a paper cut vanish just by her touch was the coolest thing you ever witnessed.

Namjoon, the strange person who said that he could create force fields, was sitting at a corner, his legs crossed and his eyes shut. You noticed some people walking too close to him and ended up bumping into nothing and holding their head in pain. What a great way to isolate yourself from everybody.

And here you were, also sitting in a corner and watching everyone flex their powers. Your abilities did come to good use as you dreamt of something last night, however you failed to understand what you actually foresaw as the dream revolved around a boy you didn't know. And his mother.

Flashback:

A pale, skinny boy that looked the age of ten was sitting on a swing alone, a lollipop in his mouth. He seemed to be waiting for something, or someone, as his doe eyes flickered at a certain direction from time to time.

After half an hour, a woman in her thirties slowly approached him, a huge teddy bear in her arms.

The boy's eyes lit up at the sight of her and immediately jumped off the swing, spreading his arms wide open as he ran towards her.

"Mommy! You're back!"

"Of course! Sorry that I took such a long time, the queue was very long. But here's your teddy bear!"

The boy beamed happily and hugged the teddy bear tightly, the lollipop in his mouth had fallen to the ground due to his excitement.

"Thank you mommy! I thought you were going to leave me alone..."

The woman's expression visibly stiffened at his words, but was quickly covered with a smile. A smile too wide to be genuine.

"Of course not! You're mommy's favorite boy, aren't you?"

"Yes! Can we go home now?"

"Before we do that, how about mommy bring you to a super-duper fun place?"

The boy clapped his hands eagerly and tugged at the woman's blouse excitedly. "Yes, yes, yes! Where is it?"

"Follow me and you'll know."

The scene was cut abruptly, and the location was now in a laboratory. The same woman was holding the same boy in her arms, who had fallen asleep. She was talking to a middle-aged man in a white lab coat, both of their expressions solemn.

"Are you sure you want to do this? He is your son, after all."

"I-It's not as if I have a choice! I'm broke, and this is the only way I can stay alive. However, I will come back to collect him in a few years' time. Until then... he's all yours."

The man gave her an assuring smile before taking the boy from the woman.

As she watched him and her son enter the room, she could only manage a bitter smile as tears began welling up in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, this is the only thing mommy can do for you, Suga..."
