Willow woke up in a dark cave that had sounds of dripping water and the damp smell of stale air. She tried to get up, but a pain shot throughout her. She moaned and threw her body back on the floor. She looked around, but all she saw was darkness. She shivered in the cold, and searched beside her for a blanket of some sort. A growl emitted further back in the cave and Willow quietly growled in response. Her nose twitched and she took in a deep breath in fear. Those two yellow eyes that she had learned to hate became clear 20 feet away. She heard it breath in and out, while she visioned the dark figure. She heard the tapping of its claws on the hard cave floor as it stepped forward. Willow got up, pain washing over her like a tsunami. She bit her tongue and slowly started limping towards what she assumed was the entrance to the cave. She was neither quick nor nimble in trying to escape the monstrous bear. A small beam of light shone through the darkness, which then grew into a tunnel of brightness. Willow squinted as she tried to see in the drastic change of darkness to light. The bear crept up behind her and she turned her head and dodged out of the way as the bear jumped at her. The beast rolled into the forest, crushing all of the foliage around it. The bear crawled out of the brush, foaming at the mouth. It growled at her and its eyebrows turned to a downward slope, finishing in a glare. Willow didn't have the energy in her to growl back. The leaves crunched as Willow backed up away from the bear. A small whimper escaped from her mouth and she tripped on a twig, falling backwards into a patch of grass. The bear came upon her, and at this point all she could do was cover her face with her tail. Willow shivered as one claw struck the right side of her body, tearing skin and spraying blood everywhere. Her vision became black and spotty at the edges and everything was blurry. The bear was about to slash her face when a gunshot ran through the forest. The bear dropped to the floor as blood trickled from its mouth. Willow shivered and crawled behind a bush, crouched as the hunter stepped out of the foliage.
