I HAVE HOPE
-  psalm 25:3

I don't remember much about what happened after that. Only that a person was yelling in a language I couldn't understand.

"Why won't you wake up!? Wake up!" Hands gripped my shoulders and shook me, my head bobbing. I grimaced as the light hit my face.

"Great! You are awake." I groaned as I looked about me, seeing a lone tree above me. "Get up!" I quickly looked at the voice, seeing a rather angry looking girl.

She was pointing a rifle at me, not English made from what I could tell.
"O-okay. I'm getting up." I raised my hands in surrender, slowly standing up.

"You work for government,Ja? Then tell me where they are!" The girl yelled, cocking the gun. "Hey listen, I'm not working for the government."
That certainly got her attention.
"Wat! What do you mean you do not work for government!?"

I backed up slowly, leaning against the tree. From what I could tell, the girl was very pretty. Fierce eyes and golden hair, brown eyes. She looked ever the wilderness girl, until she started to talking. "Fok..." After that I couldn't understand what she said.

While she was distracted, I began walking past the tree. She suddenly turned her back and that's when I high-tailed it. "Fok it!" The girl yelled, and I heard a gun shot.

"Come back!" But I didn't, I just ran. I quickly threw a look back until I saw a shadow over me. "Lemoen! Jy's terug!" I was so startled that I slipped on the ground, flat on my back.

A horse towered above me, neighing to the girl. I looked up to see the girl smiling and calming the horse, speaking to the horse. She quickly glared at me."You scared him!"

I lifted my brow and began to stand up. "I scared him!? He almost stepped on me!" The girl stuck out her tongue, stroking the horse. I sighed and turned around. A gun was clicked," Move and I shoot." The girl said.

"You missed me last time you tried to shoot me. You aren't very good with that thing are you?" I turned, the girl furious. "Shut it!"
I decided to push futher," Were you trying to kill me?" I grinned as her face turned absolutely red.

She almost growled. "What you know huh!? English Bliksem!" She raised her gun, the horse uneasy.
"Whoa easy! What do you want?"  I raised my hands and went lower, staying close to ground.

"Oh I'll tell! You English took my family and I have look everywhere! They are in a camp of yours, I need to know where! Tell me!" She moved closer and aimed at my chest.

"Look, I didn't know about your family being taken. I don't work for the government, I was just here to help with the teaching of English language to the savages." The girl lowered her gun and puffed her cheeks.

"Savages huh? Tell me who beat who in the oorlog?" She said, although the last word I didn't really understand.
"What did you say? I didn't understand." I got up slowly, her sighing.

"The uh..battles I think was it called." She muttered as she shook her head. " Ja well! You're coming with me!" I looked at her stunned. "What do you mean with you!?" She didn't answer.

She gestured to the horse and pushed the gun into my chest. "Move! You'll help me look for my family. You skuld me!" She grabbed some rope and tied it to my hands and back to the horse's saddle. I sighed and she gave me a glare that could easily have killed me.

I stood there helpless as I waited for her to do something. She only watched as she finally put the gun away, leading the horse up the path.

This girl, was definitely a savage.
