It was a sunny Saturday morning and I felt refreshed. I didn't have any schoolwork to do, and I knew my best friend (who just so happens to be my oldest brother) was off work.

I skipped down the grand hallway of my adoptive father's castle to the bedroom of said brother.

"Knock knock!" I banged my fist on his royal blue door.

The door creaked and there he was, short in stature, wild blue hair, eyelids hanging over his deep blue eyes.

"Good morning, Iggy," a smile came across his face.

"Ludwig! Today's the day! We get to go to the mall!" I spun around and jumped for joy.

Now this mall I had never been to, but it held the newest video game, Koopa Klash Ultimate, and I wasn't gonna wait any longer to get it!

"Indeed, go ahead and start the car for me. I'm going to finish combing my hair, and then we can go," he tossed me his car keys.

Ludwig shut the door and I sprinted down the stairs with his car keys and started up his beautiful blue 1957 Chevy bel-air. I waited patiently in the front seat of his car, and finally, he came. It was time to go to the mall!

Once we made it to the mall, we went inside.

"Oh boy, I'm so ready to spend the day with you, and get my hands on this new video game!" I skipped past the doorframe as Ludwig held the door.

"How about we get some breakfast, say, Iggy?" Ludwig rubbed his plated belly as the door shut behind him.

Of course, I was down for that.

We ordered our food at the food court and sat down at one of the tables.

"Iggy, tell me about this game you've been saving up for," Ludwig took a bite of a bagel.

"This game is the next big thing, Lud. You don't even know. It's a new and improved version of the original Koopa Klash game with even better graphics than before, and new characters to play as!" I was so excited I forgot I had food in front of me and I slammed my fists down into my plate.

Ludwig was a bit startled at the slamming of my fists, "Wonderful, I cannot wait to watch you play it." He straightened his posture and took a deep breath.

We finished our food and decided to look for the video game store. We came across many clothes stores and department stores, each getting more odd as we progressed deeper into the depths of the mall. I was starting to get antsy.

"Ludwig?" I rested my hand on his broad shoulders, "I'm a bit weirded out at this place. I'm not sure why. This place just seems a bit... trippy."

"It does feel a bit odd... I do understand the way you feel," Ludwig looked back at me, "Perhaps we accidentally entered the fifth dimension or something."

Ludwig let out a hearty chuckle and I couldn't help but to giggle a bit.

We checked map after map, but could not find the store, the more we looked, the more run-down this mall appeared.

"The store may have closed down. Perhaps we can check another mall, Iggy," Ludwig led me to the nearest door.

He jolted the door, and it was locked. He tried the doors around it, and they too, were locked.

"I guess these ones are locked, Lud. Here are some more doors, this way," I led him to the next set of doors, which were also locked.

I could tell Ludwig was getting a bit frustrated, for every door he and I would try, his eyebrows would furrow deeper. At this point the anxiety was really kicking in for me.
