Chapter 3: Practice

Jesse P.O.V.
I woke up by the sun rise in my eyes, how did the sun rise get to me? Well I slept outside last night and I didn't blame them, I mean they didn't expected me to come and I'm used to it.

As I get up from where I was sleeping, Rick told me to prepare for practice. It's getting cold already, I wear my black coat that I bought and heard Carl called me,"hey!ready to show your "skills",I chuckle and grab my M1897 black trench gun,"you?ready to be amazed?", I heard him chuckle,"let's see", he said grabbing his gun and silencer.

I went to the place where they were practicing and saw some broken glass between my boots, I think they use bottles to shoot. Once I saw them, I sneak behind Carl and there's only one bottle left to be shot, I quickly grab my gun and shoot it,"hey!that's my last one", Carl whined,"sorry, can't help myself", I said grinning,"well,I think Carl isn't the badass anymore", I heard Rick said and everyone laughed. "Hey! You can shoot those bottles over there", Daryl said while leading me to the right side of the field and I see the row of 8 bottle and quickly shoot it all,"not bad for 16 yrs. old", Maggie said while coming closer,"thanks", she said,"for?", I asked confused but still smiling,"for the ring!",she said laughing and I remembered the ring I gave Glenn last night,"oh!yeah..the ring...it's fine and you and Glenn deserve it, I mean you two are a great couple", she hugged me tight and that makes me better, Glenn came and join the hug,"uh...you know guys I can't breath", everyone saw us and started laughing, few second later we stopped laughing when we heard some low moans and dried leaves cracking...WALKERS! I ran back to the place (where we all sleep earlier) and grabbed my guns and shoot some walkers, I saw Glenn being tackled on the ground by a walker and because of panick, I shot the walker in head and throw a gun at Glenn.

One the walkers are getting many, Rick decided to leave the place and find another safe place where it is safe for everyone. "Go inside the van! NOW!", Glenn yelled at me,"NO! How about you? I don't want to loose you again", I said crying,"we can handle it, I'll be back I promise, I just want you to be safe", he closed the door, and inside of the van is Me, Carl, and Judith, t-dog is the one who's going to drive the van. All I am thinking right now is my brother and the others, I hope they'll come back safe.

"Jesse, wake up", I was awaken by t-dog and I saw Judith crying on Carl's arms. As I climbed out of the van, the house we're going to stay for a while is pretty huge,"this place isn't that bad at all", I mumbled,"yeah, good for all of us", Carl said behind me.

"I'll go check the house, t-dog with me while you Carl, take Judith inside the van", I then give Carl a gun. I saw a metal baseball bat lying on the front door, I then grabbed it cause I gave my gun to Carl to protect Judith. "1,2,3, go", as I opened the door a walker came running through me and I smashed its head with my bat, I looked behind me and t-dog just killed a female walker, I think this two walkers are like husband and wife, wonder if they have kids. I walked up slowly at the staircase and opened a kind of like children's room, as I can say there's a lot of toy scattered on the ground, at least Judith has something to play though.

I saw a family picture at the ground, the mother on the photo looked like in her mid 30's and so does the father, they have 3 kids, their eldest son looked like same as my age and there's this little girl looked like 7 yrs. old.

I was interrupted through my thoughts with a loud bang, as I turn around I saw the little girl's dead body on the ground until it runs my mind that this girl is the 7 yrs. old in the photo and the husband and wife are the walkers we killed earlier, where would their eldest son would be.

"Thanks"

"Well you took so long upstairs so I came to see if something's wrong and I see this little girl trying to kill you",I walked slowly to him and gave him the picture,"hey, I think those walkers we killed are a family", I said,"I think their eldest is still walking around we should kill him before it gets it's prey", all the room are already cleared except the one with the blue door, as I grabbed the door knob it's lock,"damn it!", I stepped back away and use a my bat to break the knob.

I walked inside and it's a room for boy for sure cause there's some posters of football players, walls painted in blue, trophies, and every athletes would like to have a room like this.

As I was walking out of the room, I heard a glass fell on the ground, I walked closer to where the glass fell and saw something's moving. I held my bat and when I was about to swing, it shouted,"wait! I'm not a walker!",I think he's around my age,"that was close", I heard him standing up,"Connor, Connor Maxwell", he said raising his hand to shake,"Jesse, Jesse Rhee", I held my hand to shake,"I like your name beautiful", I laughed at his cheesiness.

As I walked out of the house with t-dog and Connor behind us, I saw my brother and the others covered in blood.
