Chapter 7

Dinner couldn't start fast enough. My excitement level was at its max. I was in my room pacing back and fourth. It was 5:30 and dinner started at 6. Mama already had the house smelling good. Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, greens, dinner rolls and apple pie for dessert. Luis wasn't due home from work for another 15 minutes. What was I gonna do with myself I sat my ass down on the bed to organize my thoughts. Luis had just put his self in the dog house. His little comment about me being an actress pissed me off because he was being a smart ass. Now I couldn't wait until mama spilled the beans about little miss Sandy. I laughed out loud.

I heard a car pull up outside, I jumped up from the bed and ran to the window hoping it was Luis but it was Bria. It was time for me to head downstairs.

"Need any help mama?" I asked as she started setting the table.

"Nope, all done. Open the door and let your sister and she doesn't know about the situation so shhh."

I open the door for Bria,I wanted to tell her so bad. I am not the best with keeping secrets.

"Hey my pretty sister!" She said with a smiled. I smiled and we hugged. Bria went into the kitchen and hugged mama. The three of us set at the table and made small talk while we waited on Luis.

"Yo boo boo late." Bria said and laughed. Mama just shook her head. She was pissed and I could tell she was doing everything she could to keep calm. Bria's happy ass couldn't even tell anything was wrong. Five minutes later Luis walks in the door. He put his work things down and walks over to mama and gives her a kiss.

"Hello ladies."

He says as he takes a seat at the head of the table, everyone spoke. I could not keep a smile off my face. This dude was so clueless. Everyone began to eat. There was no conversation for ten minutes.

"How was work baby?"

"Work was work. Boss man keeps me busy all day. You know I had to ask for my lunch break today." He stopped and giggled. "He wanted me to work through lunch and stay 30 minutes after."

"That's your new life now. Mr. Promotion."

I just looked at Bria. She was just as clueless and him. We hit another Silent block. This one lasted way to long. I began to feel anxious. Mom had said she was going to talk to Luis about it after dinner but I was going to make sure the shit got out right here at the dinner table.

"You alright mama?"

"I will be soon."

"You okay baby?" Luis asked as he placed his hand on top of her hand. Mama quickly snatched her hand away. Mama couldn't hold it in anymore. I so wished I had some popcorn because the show was about to begin.

"No actually I'm not okay." Mama got up from the table and picked up a envelope that was sitting on the kitchen counter. She sat back down at the table.

"Anything you want to tell me before I open this envelope Luis?" He had the nerve to giggle!

"What is this babe?"

"Is there anything you want to tell me before I open this damn envelope?"

"No, nothing I can think of."

"Who the fuck is Sandy?"

"Sandy?" He asked with a puzzled look on his face. Now this dude was the actor.

"This bitch." Mama pulled out the picture of the 20 year old girl. Bria's eyes widen as she let out a loud gasp.

" I can explain." By this time Luis's face had turned red and his eyes were alert as ever. I smiled inside. Look who's in the hot seat now.

Mama raised her voice. "Yes explain to me how you been having a online relationship with this girl."

"I..I..it's just conversation Toya." He stuttered.

"Conversation? That's what the fuck you calling this? You two been exchanging naked pictures and your telling me this is just conversation? This 20 year old girl is spread eagle on this bed, pussy all out and your calling this conversation. You must think I'm dumb."

I had to laugh. Mama was going in and not holding back. Bria hit my arm.

"EXPLAIN" mama was full blown screaming now and Luis was chocked up. He had nothing to say. He sat there looking at his half empty plate. And for a second I started to feel sorry for him. But this dude low key tried to play me.

"If you ain't gonna talk get the fuck out!"

Luis jumped up and headed for the door so fast I woulda thought he was running track. I looked in Disbelief. Mama got up and headed to her room and slammed the door.

"Oh my god I can't believe that just happened."

Bria had a sad look on her face. She really appreciated mama and luis's relationship and never thought something like this would happen. I didn't have to much to say. Mama was done with him and so was I. I don't need no man that's going to throw me under the bus when he gets in one of his moods. That shit is too risky. I knew it wasn't going to be the last time I seen Luis. All his shit was still in the house. I was gonna give him my peace of mind when he came to pack up his things.

Me and Bria cleaned up before I said goodbye to her. Bria was still in a state of Shock but hell, she'll get over it. I went to my room and laid down. Falling asleep with a smile on my face.

2:44 am I was awaken by the sounds of love making. I sat up in my bed. What the fuck was mama doing?! Pissed off I jumped out of bed and headed to mamas room.
