" And why do you think so ? " Heeseung said emotionlessly, clicking his pen.
" Because you see, the guard did confirm he entered the school at 1 a.m. , " the leader but his bottom lip. " But, Hyesun was murdered at 12:45. "
The soft sounds of rain drizzling entered E7's ears from outside the wooden windows.
Sunghoon inhaled deeply. " What about Sunoo ? " Sunoo glared at him. " I mean— That was clearly you in the CCTV recording. "
However, Jake quickly came to the younger's aid. " What if someone prerecorded that and hacked the CCTV ? "
" Stop bickering, you two. " Jay placed his teacup down. " It's getting annoying at this point. Nice tea Jungwon, by the way. Imported ? "
Jungwon smiled. " England. My noona bought it. "
" But Jungwon, " Jay spoke suddenly. " You never once denied that you killed Hyesun. "
The smiling boy suddenly dropped his expression. " And where's the proof I did that ? "
Heeseung laughed softly but in a scary way.
" That jacket they found in your room isn't proof to you ? " He silenced Jay before continuing . " I know you do self harming, but did your own blood get to the collar and body ? Unless it was Hyesun's that splattered onto it, of course. "
" And how did they find your knife at the scene ? " Jungwon clapped back, his voice no louder than a whisper, yet every member heard him. " Isn't it too weird, hyung ? It wasn't even in your class. I really do wonder how heartless you must've been to kill your own sister. "
Heeseung sighed as Jungwon took his seat again.
Jay bit his inner cheek before saying, " the detectives are gonna investigate again tomorrow, right ? "
Riki slightly nodded, sketching the black crystal chandelier above him.
" And they'll lock us in our houses into the trial. " Sunoo groaned.
" Honestly I'll be fine being locked inside, really, " Sunghoon banged his forehead lightly onto the table. " But stepmother's gonna come back from Germany the day after tomorrow. "
Jay then rose harshly at Sunghoon's words. " For the first and last time in my life, I agree with you, Hoon. "
" So I guess I'll end it here ? " Jungwon picked up the candle he had placed in front of him. " This will or will not be out last meeting here, " he scanned the six boys. " And don't kill each other before we meet again, especially Sunghoon and Jay. "
The twins sighed as Jungwon neared the candle to his lips.
And darkness followed.
