'Mom are you ok?'

I Know that was the dumbest question to ask but I was  not used to seeing my mom cry so it broke my heart seeing her cry like that 'yeah it's nothing hun' 'How can it be nothing when you're crying your eyes out? Mom what did the doctor say?' 'Just some flue..don't worry about it'

I do not believe you I so badly wanted to say that 'if you say so' I said as I walked to my room..Maybe she was not ready to tell me. I sat on the desk that was located in my room for doing my homeworks and thought about what I would do if my mother's sickness was deadly. I mean I do have relatives but I hardly know them. My mom hardly talks about her past, that past including my father. All I know is that he got my mother pregnant and left her when she told him about the pregnancy saying that he was too young to have a baby.

I guess my mother was old enough ...note the sarcasm...and when my mother told her parents they kicked her out saying she brought shame to the family and my mother had to find piece jobs to maintain herself. I guess that's why she doesn't really talk about her past

'Amanda please let me in hun' I heard my mom silently beg me to open for her. I wasn't mad at her I was scared. I quickly let her in 'hun I'm sorry but I can't tell you what the doctor said' 'why not? I'm your daughter I deserve to know' I asked with eyes full of tears

'I know hunny but I'm doing this for you' my mom said, I wasn't sure who she was trying to convince

'by hiding things from me?' 'Yes..No..you won't understand now' my mom said in a whisper. .'I love you Amanda but I can't tell you' 'well you have a funny way of showing your "love" mom'

I could see tears were forming in her eyes as she turned and slowly walked out the door little did I know that she was not only walking out of my door physically but also out of my life emotionally..as the days went by my mom became more distant and distant
