Yorokobi POV:

How annoying. L/n-kun just said he would be open to sharing a bed, yet here I am, exchanging blows with a demon.

I throw another strike, which is blocked and used as a turntable. The demon slides forward under my blade, and kicks my stomach, sending me sliding back further into the alley. As long as I'm far enough away from them I don't care about taking a few hits.

"What's wrong? Gonna let me win without letting me go all out?!" The demon pouts in a condesending tone. Ugh.

I huff and return to my stance, "Hardly." Annoying punk, I'm more focused on whatever just happened to Y/n.

He was in visible pain, his face was pale, and he was short of breath. Not to mention the weird look his eyes got before this demon attacked. How did he know??

I catch myself in my thoughts and shake my head, not the time Sōzu. I steel my thoughts and stare down my opponent, "Finally getting your head in the game?" The demon snarls.

Ugh.

Y/n Pov:

I come back to conciousness with Hayashi poking my stomach softly, the tightness in my chest lingering still, but the pain has subsided. I shake my head and gather my thoughts.

What the hell happened?

I try to get up but can't, my arms and legs a bit numb. Hayashi jumps a bit, noticing I'm awake, "L/n!! You're okay!!" She hugs me softly and sighs. Crap, I hope I wasn't out for too long. Yorokobi may need my help.

I once again try to pull myself up, but can't. I groan in frustration and try to gather my breath. Concentrate.

In....

Out....

There we go. With a huff I pull Hayashi off me softly and get her to calm down, a tear stains her cheek. Poor girl. "Hayashi, where is Yorokobi-chan?" I ask, glancing around the room for any sign besides the hole in the wall.

"Oh, I'm not sure. She went to fight that scary guy after he broke our wall."

She's still fighting him? He must be strong to hold her off. I pull myself up from the ground and manage to get my balance. My arms still feel weak. But I have to help. I need to push through. "Right. Thank you Hayashi-chan. I'm gonna go help her, you stay here. Hide somewhere until we come back, understand?"

I turn to the broken wall. There is a soft silence for a short time, "Okay. Please be safe, L/n-san."

I nod, "I will." And sprint out of the room. Immediately I can tell there was fighting here, scratch marks liter the close walls and the floor in places. I follow the trail until I reach an open road.

Shit. Where? The road splits left and right, but there isn't a sign of a struggle either way. I take a guess and go left, there isnt any time to screw around.

I pick up my speed and listen for any sound of clashing metal, or exchanging strikes.

After what felt like an eternity I hear the sound of metal on metal, up ahead and to the right side of the street. Hang on just a little longer.

I slide around the corner and spot the demon standing in front of Yorokobi, her uniform ripped in spots along her arms and legs. More notably, a large cut gashed into her side, which is bleeding notably. Worry boils up inside of me.

I run up beside her and draw my sword, "I'm here! Sorry it took me so long."

The demon frowns a bit, "Man, I was hoping I killed you in my first attack. No matter, whether it is then or now you still have the same fate."
