An hour passed since Aoyama and Ashido left, Uraraka and Asui were still waiting in front of the hospital room. It was already 8:30 pm, both Asui and Uraraka informed their parents of the situation after the battle so they wouldn't risk for them to worry.
"It's been hours Ochako ribbit" Said Asui worried about her friend's emotional state
"Please say something"
Uraraka did not know what to say, he is lying motionless in the room. What can she say?
"I never got to tell him Tsu" she suddenly replied "I was so scared that I might lose him as a friend but now..."
"What if he doesn't wake up?" All the thoughts and scenarios ran through her head, she was so overwhelmed that she began to hyperventilate
"Don't say that Ochako, kero Midoriya will get through this"
Uraraka only looked at Asui with tears on her face.
Izuku's mother finally got out of the room. The instant Ochako noticed they immediately approached her.
"Mrs. Midoriya how is Deku?" Ochako asked desperately seeking for an answer.
"You're one of Izuku's classmates right?"
They both nodded
"The doctors said he won't be waking up anytime soon" she muttered "They said that because of his injuries it is even possible that he may not wake up ever"
Inko was about to cry again, but she noticed the girl standing in front of her. "You are her right? The one who defended him from the angry mob" she asked
"Ochako Uraraka"
Uraraka was surprised Izuku's mother knows her she then asked how she knew,
"My Izuku spoke highly of you you know, the sweet girl who tried to give her points to him so he could pass in UA" she smiled faintly
Uraraka only cried more because of this. Inko then proceeded to hug the young brunette. Right then and there she understood how much his son meant to the young woman she in front of her.
"Thank you for always being there for my Izuku dear" she whispered as she began to shed a tear once more
"Can I see him" she asked
"Of course you can" she replied wiping the tear off her face. She then opened the door for Uraraka so she can enter
"I'll give you two some privacy dear, I know you've waited for hours" she smiled faintly on the young woman.
"I'll wait for you here outside Ochako and accompany Mrs. Midoriya, ribbit ribbit" Asui assured
Ochako then proceeded to approach Deku's hospital bed. Each step towards him seemingly takes away a part of her. It was a painful sight for the heroine, to see her hero lie in front of her. She sat next to his bed looking at his current condition.
"Deku..." she then grabbed his hand
"It's me Ochako I don't know if you know this but..."
"We won Deku..." She looked at his face hoping that he will open his eyes.
"You can wake up now" she whispered
"Please wake up, you saved us Deku!"
"The world is safe now..."
Back then she tried to bury her feelings for him. She prioritized her growth as a hero and strived to be like her hero, but each passing day her feelings grew stronger and stronger. She always thought that they would grow together side by side but now as he lies next to her motionless she fears that she would have to do it alone.
"Deku, please wake up I don't know what to do now!" Ochako pleaded as she leaned closer to him.
