Chapter 2

Ring ring ring
(Jaden groans but rolls over towards the nightstand and answers the phone)
Phone convo
Jaden: hello (mumbles)
Travis: hey jaden I know it's early but do you think you and ness can come down to the studio today to finish recording the song
Jaden: (sighs) yeah sure can you give us an hour to get ready
Travis: yeah no problem see you later
Jaden: later bro
(Hangs up the phone and looks at ness and starts kissing her all over her face)
Nessa: (giggles and opens her eyes) good morning chicky
Jaden: morning baby how did you sleep?
Nessa: good and you?
Jaden: perfect since I am with you (pecks her lips)
Nessa: what are we doing today?
Jaden: well Travis called and asked if we could go to the studio today and I told him yes
Nessa: but today's our day off (whines)
Jaden: I know but we didn't finish recording yesterday so we have to make up for it today
Nessa: okay I guess I'll call Cooper to see if he can watch bells since she can't go back to school till tomorrow
Jaden: since when is a one day suspension even a thing
Nessa: well she's only in seventh grade we are lucky it wasn't a week suspension
Jaden: that's true but anyways maybe instead of calling Cooper you should call josh and see if he can watch her
Nessa: why...
Jaden: because whether we like it or not he's her dad and he should step up a little more instead of just every other weekend
Nessa: he gets her Friday though
Jaden: he can take her for the day and then drop her off it's really not that big of a deal besides Bells would probably prefer being with him then Cooper
Nessa: not true she adores simba
Jaden: but she gets bored at the apartment
Nessa: true ugh fine I'll call josh and ask him (grabs her phone and calls him)
Phone convo
Josh: (mumbles) hello
Nessa: hey josh are you busy today?
Josh: no why what's up?
Nessa: do you want to take Bells for the day? Jaden and I have to go to the studio, if not she can stay at cooper's...
Josh: no no I don't mind picking her up what time do you want me to be there?
Nessa: in an hour?
Josh: okay I'll get ready and head over
Nessa: okay bye
Josh: bye

Jaden: look at that you two can have a civil conversation (jokes)
Nessa: haha very funny, I am going to wake up bella and you can get ready (pecks his lips)
Jaden: okay
(Nessa gets off the bed and walks over to Bella's room and lightly shakes her shoulder)
Bella: no (pulls the sheets over her head)
Nessa: come on bells daddy's going to pick you up in an hour
Bella: really!? (Takes the covers off her head)
Nessa: yeah your spending the day with him
Bella: okay (gets off her bed and walks to her closet)
Nessa: well that was easy (walks out of the room)
Bella's pov
I looked through my closet and threw on an aqua blue tank top that had a white flower on it that said positive vibes and some matching leggings that had the same design with some sneakers, I brushed my teeth and grabbed my hair brush so mommy could do it. I walked over to her room to see her done getting dressed and so was JJ.

Bella: mommy can you do my hair?
Nessa: yeah come here what do you want to do?
Bella: braids?
Nessa: okay come stand in front of me so I can do them
Bella: okay
Two minutes later
Bella: mommy your pulling my hair to tight!
Nessa: sorry but you have a bunch of knots in your hair (runs the brush through her again)
Bella: ow! JJ can you do it mommy pulls to hard
Jaden: (laughs) you heard her hand over the brush
Nessa: I am offended (jokes)
Bella: you can put them in the braids though
Nessa: hmm why not just let JJ do it
Bella: because he's not good at it
Jaden: see you aren't good at brushing and I can do the braids we are even (runs the brush through Bella's hair)
Nessa: yeah yeah
Bella's pov
After JJ brushed my hair and mommy put them in braids there was a knock on the door so I ran to open it.

Jaden: Bells how many times have we told you to ask who's at the door first?
Bella: but we knew daddy was coming over
Jaden: still you have to ask who's at the door because it might not have been josh
Bella: (sighs) okay fine I'll ask next time (turns to josh and wraps her arms around him) hi daddy
Josh: hi princess (kisses her cheek) are you ready to go?
Bella: yeah
Josh: okay tell mom and Jaden bye and have you eaten breakfast yet?
Bella: nope
Josh: how does IHop sound?
Bella: yes!!
Josh: okay
Nessa: alright well you two have fun today, josh have her back by seven please and she has a test tomorrow so make sure she studies for at least an hour
Josh: got it anything else?
Nessa: no I think that's it, behave bells
Bella: I will, bye mommy see you later (hugs her) bye JJ (hugs him)
Jaden: bye little one (kisses her on the forehead)
Bella: alright I am ready
Josh: let's go then, bye guys (waves his hand)
Them: bye
Nessa: josh take care of her and be back by seven this time please!
Josh: hmm (closes the door and looks at Bella) have you eaten breakfast yet?
Bella: nope
Josh: want to go to Ihop or Denny's?
Bella: Ihop!
Josh: alright let's go
(Josh and bella walk out of the apartment complex and towards his car)
Bella: can I sit in the front daddy?
Josh: bella you know you aren't tall enough yet
Bella: pleaseee ihop is only ten minutes away
Josh: fine but just to IHop I don't want to get in trouble with your mother
Bella: what about the police?
Josh: your mom scares me more
Bella: (laughs and gets in the front seat) okay
Josh: do you want the aux?
Bella: sure (takes it and puts on Justin Bieber)
Josh's pov
On the way to Ihop bells was singing love yourself and it reminded me of when that was Jaden's go to song literally every time we did Karaoke night. I hate to admit it but even though she's mine and Nessa's she has my personality for sure there's are parts of her that have Jaden which I guess makes sense she took care of her for three years, which is another thing I hate to admit even though I have already been around nine years there's still a bond that gets formed when their babies and I feel like I missed out on that so I try to make up for it by spending as much times as she wants and okay maybe spoil her a little bit too. I pulled up to IHop and turned the car off and we started walking inside.

Hostess: hi welcome to ihop how many will it be for today?
Josh: just two please
Hostess: alright follow me
(Bella and josh follow the hostess to a table and they sit down)
Hostess: your waitress will be right over
Josh: okay thank you (looks at Bella) what are you going to get?
Bella: chocolate chip pancakes with mozzarella sticks
Josh: okay sounds good what about to drink?
Bella: apple juice
Josh: okay... so Bella tell me how are things with nessa and Jaden?
Bella: good, can I ask you something daddy?
Josh: yeah of course
Bella: why did you never forgive mommy and JJ for falling in love (looks at him)
Josh: who told you I never forgave them?
Bella: JJ
Josh: and why did JJ tell you that?
Bella: because I asked him if the reason you guys keep fighting is because of me and he said it wasn't but it's because you never forgave them for falling in love
Josh: (sighs) bells it's more complicated than that and I don't know why Jaden's involving you into situations that are for adults
Bella: so then it is my fault that you guys keep arguing?
Josh: no that's not it either but it is grown up stuff and you don't need to worry about it okay?
Bella: okay (goes back to coloring)
(The waitress comes to the table and josh orders their food)
Josh: anyways changing the subject what do you want to do today?
Bella: I don't know what do you want to do?
Josh: hmm want to go to Disney land?
Bella: can we!?!
Josh: we have the passes so why not
Bella: can we invite uncle Bryce?
Josh: sure give him a call
(Josh hands Bella his phone and she FaceTimes Bryce)
Bryce: hey princess what's up?
Bella: not much I am with daddy right now at IHop
Bryce: cool what are you having?
Bella: take a guess
Bryce: hmm chocolate chip pancakes and mozzarella sticks
Bella: yeah how did you know!
Bryce: wild guess (laughs) anyways what's up?
Bella: do you want to go to Disney land with daddy and me today?
Bryce: uh yeah sure what time?
Josh: after we are eating we'll stop by the house and pick you up
Bryce: alright sounds good see you in a bit
Josh: later dude
Bryce: later, see you soon princess
Bella: byee

Bella's pov
The waitress brought our food so we ate and then daddy payed the bill and we got back in the car where I still had the aux so I put on uncle Colson's song with Iann and started singing along until we got to sway to pick up uncle Bryce.

Bella: can I go see buddy?
Josh: yeah I bet bryce isn't even ready yet
(They get out of the car and start walking inside the house and buddy tackles bella)
Josh: buddy down
Bella: she's licking me (laughs and pets her) okay okay stop
Josh: buddy down now
(Buddy listens to josh and Bella stands up)
Bella: good girl (pets her fur) uncle Bryce are you ready!?
Bryce: yeah be down in a minute!
(Then Noah walks in through the kitchen)
Josh: what are you doing here?
Noah: I live here what do you mean...
Josh: no I know but your always with Dixie
Noah: oh she's busy today and I have an audition to go to so I gotta get going (hugs Bella) I'll see you this weekend cutie
Bella: okay good luck at your audition
Noah: thanks honey (leaves the house)
Bryce: (comes downstairs) ready?
Josh: yup
Bryce: alright let's go
Bella's pov
This time Bryce sat in the front with daddy and I had to sit in the back since he was coming and we were going to be in the car for at least an hour. Instead of having the aux I gave it to uncle Bryce and just grabbed my IPad and started playing diner dash. I had leveled up to a new restaurant when I noticed daddy parked the car.

Bella: we are here already?
Josh: yup where have you been (jokes)
Bella: playing diner dash
Bryce: that explains it
Josh: well leave the IPad here so you don't lose it (takes the iPad and puts it under the chair) alright let's go (holds Bella's hand)
Bella: we walked to the entrance to the monorail and then the actual entrance to the park where security checked our bags well daddy's since dad just had a backpack and then we showed then the annual passes and we were good to go in.

Josh: what do you want to do first?
Bella: Pirates of Caribbean
Josh: okay let's go
Bella's pov
We walked towards pirates when a group of girls came up to us and just when I thought we would be able to go somewhere that they wouldn't care to recognize us it happens.

?: are you josh Richards and Bryce hall!
Bryce: yeah what are your names?
?: I am Briana
Josh: that's my co hosts name
Briana: I know I watch BFF's all the time
Josh: aw thanks would you guys like a picture, and your name?
?: Kelsey
Bryce: it's nice to meet you both
Kelsey: you too can we get that picture?
Bryce: yeah of course
Briana: thank you so much
(Bryce and josh take selfies with the girls and they walk off)
Bella: soo can we go now or are more fans going to come up?
Josh: I think we are good we can go
(They start walking)
Bella's pov
Since it's still a school day the park wasn't as busy and the lines weren't as long there were still people obviously but it wasn't as many as there normally are which was cool. We did pirates of the Caribbean, haunted mansion, splash mountain, Winnie the Pooh don't judge but that's a classic you can't go to Disney land and not do Winnie the poo.

Bryce: oh they opened up the new stars wars section
Josh: sick it was still closed the last time we came
Bella: I don't know anything about Star Wars so you guys pick which ones you want to do (shrugs her shoulders)
Bryce: obviously all of them bur let's start with millennium falcon
Josh: bet
Bella's pov
We did millennium falcon which was pretty cool not going to lie it looked like we were in a literal space ship and we were flying through outer space almost like the Simpson's ride in islands of adventure, and that was pretty much all we did because the second ride wasn't open yet. After Star Wars we headed to Frontierland where we just did big thunder mountain because the rest are boring there and finally we headed to my favorite place fantasy land. I know I am twelve but I am still a little kid at heart so I love fantasy land.

Bryce: so which ones are we doing here?
Bella: all of them starting with Pinocchio
Josh: your like twelve bells
Bella: so?
Josh: don't you think your a little too old for Pinocchio
Bella: I am officially offended (crosses her arms)
Josh: you are so much like your mother... fine let's go
Bella: okay
(Bella, Bryce and josh walk to the ride)
One hour later
Scene change
Travis: alright you guys can go on a lunch break
Jaden: thanks Trav (takes off the headphones and walks out of the booth) where do you want to go ness?
Nessa: hmm in and out or canes?
Jaden: oo tough one, canes we haven't eaten there in a while
Nessa: okay let's go
(They walk to the car and Jaden gets in the drivers seat and ness in the passenger and Jaden starts driving)
Ness: I should call josh and see how Bella's doing
Jaden: babe she's not a baby anymore
Nessa: I know that but still I just want to check on her (pulls out her phone and calls) they aren't answering
Jaden: do you want me to try?
Nessa: please
(Jaden pulls out his phone and calls josh and there's no answer)
Jaden: their probably busy he'll call back later (holds her hand)
Nessa: yeah I guess your right... I need to stop being so paranoid
Jaden: it's okay ness your a mom you can be paranoid if you want but there's no logical reason you need to be
Nessa: true (takes a breath) alright they'll call later
Jaden: exactly (pulls up to canes)
Scene change
Bella's pov
We've done all of fantasy land and now we are in Hollywood and just got off guardians of the galaxy and headed towards cars land where we cruised through radiator springs and luigi's rockin rollercoaster.

Bryce: what time is it now?
Josh: (looks at his phone) three thirty
Bryce: should we take a break and eat lunch
Josh: yeah, bells you hungry?
Bella: not really but I want to snack on something
Josh: what do you want?
Bella: ice cream from the cozy cone motel
Josh: you should eat lunch first Bella
Bella: but I had a good breakfast that can count
Josh: that was at eight in the morning you need to eat lunch
Bella: but daddy I don't want lunch (whines) I just want a snack
Josh: Bella you can have ice cream after you eat lunch
Bella: I don't want to
Josh: I wasn't asking you was I?
Bella: no.. but please let me have ice cream and I'll eat lunch later I promise
Bryce: (sighs) when your dad says no it's no bells stop asking
Bella: please please please please
Josh: alright you can have the ice cream
Bella: yay!!
Bryce: ness is right you give into her way to easily
Josh: shut it
Bella's pov
After getting a cookie dough ice cream and uncle Bryce and daddy getting hot dogs we continued walking to Pixar pier where we did the incrdicoaster, toy story mania, buzz light year, and played a couple of games and daddy won me a stuffed bullseye from toy story. Around five thirty daddy said I actually did need to eat now so we stopped at boardwalk pizza and pasta where I obviously had pizza and daddy and uncle Bryce had pasta. After eating we walked to paradise gardens and did goofy's sky school, jumpin jellyfish, the little mermaid which honestly should have been in fantasy land but hey I didn't design the park and by the time we were done with the park the sun was starting to go down.

Bryce: it's getting dark we should probably start heading out Josh
Josh: yeah good idea, come on bells
Bella: we aren't staying for fantasmic?
Josh: not this time bells it's getting dark and we need to get going
Bella: but we always stay for the show (pouts)
Josh: I know but it's getting late and your mom wants you home by seven and the light show doesn't start till nine you know that
Bella: so? Please can we stay? Please please please we can do some more rides while we wait like jungle cruise and the enchanted tiki room we didn't see those yet and we can go on the haunted mansion one more time
Josh: Bella...
Bella: please daddy
Josh: your mom's going to kill me
Bella: I'll tell her it was my idea
Josh: it doesn't matter if it was your idea I am the parent
Bella: come on please daddy I want to stay for the light show
Josh: alright fine
Bryce: ness is going to kill you
Josh: I don't care I am spending time with my daughter it doesn't really matter what she says
Bryce: (scoffs) yeah okay
Josh: where did you want to go Bells?
Bella: jungle cruise
Josh: lead the way princess
One hour later
Scene change
Travis: alright you guys are good to go for today, I'll work on the tracks tonight and then show you the final tomorrow so we can decide on when to release it
Nessa: okay sounds good thanks Travis
Travis: have a good night guys
(Nessa and Jaden walk out of the studio head to the car and Jaden starts driving to the apartment)
Jaden: did josh ever call you back?
Nessa: (looks at her phone) nope
Jaden: what time is it?
Nessa: Six thirty
Jaden: they should be home soon then
Nessa: yeah but I am going to try calling one more time (dials his number and he doesn't answer so she sighs frustrated) unbelievable we give him bella for the day and the least he could do is answer his stupid phone
Jaden: I am sure they'll be home soon love relax
(holds her hand and rubs her Knuckles until they get to the apartment)
One hour later
Nessa: where is he!? Bella has to go back to school tomorrow, and she still hasn't had dinner yet (crosses her arms)
Jaden: he probably took her to dinner and they are running late, if it makes you feel better I'll call him (grabs his phone and dials his number) come on pick up pick up pick up
Nessa: anything?
Jaden: nope
Nessa: I am going to kill him, I swear when he shows up I am killing him (paces the floor)
Jaden: you want me to try calling Bryce maybe he's with them?
Nessa: yeah sure I guess... I am going to go shower let me know if they are here please
Jaden: yeah don't worry babe (pecks her on the lips)
Scene change
Bella's pov
After doing the jungle cruise, tiki room and haunted mansion again we started walking towards the castle to get ready for the show and since I am short we made sure to get as close to the front as possible. While we waited I just played with bullseye and daddy and uncle Bryce were talking and eventually the show started.

Two hours later
Nessa: that's it I am so done with josh he isn't getting her this weekend
Jaden: ness please just stop they'll be here soon
Nessa: it's ten o clock Jaden, she was supposed to be home
Knock knock
Jaden: see I am sure that's them (walks over and opens the door)
Nessa: josh Richards where have you been! Do you have any idea what time it is!!
Josh: would you chill I took her to Disney land for the day
Nessa: you took her where!!!
Josh: did you not hear me or...
Nessa: no I heard you but did it ever occur to you to oh i don't know not take her to Disney land during the week, on a school night none the less!!
Bella: don't get mad at daddy mommy it was my idea to stay
Nessa: oh really, did you even study for your test tomorrow?
Bella: no... (looks down)
Nessa: unbelievable you upstairs go take a shower and then straight to bed right now! And you (looks at josh this conversation isn't over)
Josh: don't you think you are over reacting just a little bit, I spend the day with her and took her to Disney it's not that big of a deal
Jaden: with all due respect josh you could have at least answered the phone when we called
Josh: don't get involved Jaden, actually that reminds me why would you tell Bella the reason we keep fighting is because I never forgave you guys?
Jaden: because it's the truth...
Josh: it doesn't matter she doesn't need to know that are you purposely trying to make me look like the bad guy and the reason we fight instead of it being your wife who just argues with every little thing I do
Nessa: and do you remember the reason she didn't go to school today, because I'll remind you it's because she got into a fight at school!
Josh: what does that have to do with anything?
Nessa: you really don't see the problem Joshua? Are you really that blind?!
Josh: apparently so enlighten me janessa
Nessa: she got into a fight at school yesterday and you rewarded her by taking her to Disney land, and on top of that you let her decide when you guys leave even though I told I wanted her here by seven!! I mean seriously Joshua do you not know the word discipline
Joshua: oh okay yeah talk to me about discipline Janesa when she got into a fight at school on your week you and Jaden are doing a great job at raising her (says sarcastically)
Nessa: how dare you!
( Bella gets out of the shower and gets dressed and hears them arguing and walks downstairs)
Bella: would you stop it already!! This is ridiculous so what I went to Disney land with daddy and so what I didn't study for the stupid test but it's over and done now so would you please stop fighting!!
(Nessa takes a deep breath and sighs and so does josh)
Josh: she's right and it's getting late so I should get going
Nessa: oh yeah sure go ahead walk off like you did yesterday too (storms off to their bedroom)
Jaden: (sighs) say goodnight to daddy bells
Bella: goodnight daddy... and I am sorry mommy yelled at you tonight
Josh: (sighs) it's alright love but next time I need you to listen to me okay without any arguments okay?
Bella: okay (hugs him)
Jaden: go upstairs and get to bed okay little one
Bella: okay night JJ (hugs him and walks upstairs)
Josh: I am going to get going (starts walking away)
Jaden: wait josh can I walk you down so we can finish our conversation?
Josh: yeah I guess (shrugs his shoulders)
(Jaden follows josh downstairs)
Jaden: about yesterday josh I only told Bells that you didn't forgive us because she was blaming herself for us fighting and I don't want to her to do that
Josh: (scoffs) so you make me look like the bag guy
Jaden: all I told her was that you didn't forgive us if I wanted you to look like the bad guy I would have told her that the reason we are fighting is because you cheated on ness with Mads, if I wanted to make you look like the bad guy I would have told her that when she was born and we gave you the opportunity to come to the hospital and you didn't, and when she was three months old I was the one that showed up at your house practically begging for your forgiveness so you could be a part of Bella's life and what did you say josh?
Josh: (closes his eyes) please don't remind me
Jaden: no I want to hear you say it again one more time
Josh: I said the three of you can go to hell..
Jaden: exactly and I never told Bella any of that because she doesn't deserve to know that you didn't want to be part of her life and you want to know the shittiest part josh, I am the one that fought for you to have a relationship with Bella, not nessa and I am the one that suggested you take Bella today because I want you to have a relationship with your daughter so for you to think.. (his voice cracks) that I would want to make you the bad guy actually hurts, I know I fucked up okay? I get that but let's not forget that you were the first one who cheated and with Mads none the less and I forgave you it's been years please just let it go
Josh: are you done, because Bryce is waiting in the car for me
Jaden: (scoffs) your unbelievable, have a goodnight josh (starts walking away)
(Josh gets in the car and looks at Bryce)
Josh: can you drive?
Bryce: yeah.. what happened I could hear you guys from here
Josh: I don't want to talk about it just please drive (hands the keys to Bryce)
Bryce: okay..
(Bryce gets out of the passenger seat and gets in the drivers while josh stays in the backseat meanwhile Jaden walks back into the apartment and checks on bells to see she's asleep before waking into the bedroom and taking off his shirt and sweats and crawls into bed wrapping his arms Nessa's waist)
Nessa: where did you go? (Looks at him)
Jaden: tried talking to josh
Nessa: and?
Jaden: and I don't want to talk about it (pecks her on the lips and puts his head in the crook her shoulder) I love you baby (closes his eyes)
Nessa: I love you too j (closes her eyes)
