Darkness

The darkness in my eyes,
shows that I can be heartless,
because my emotions faded .

Sadness is weighing me down,
It is so heavy .
I treat this sadness like an egg .

I don't know how to crack it,
Because it's isolated in a shack,
that can suffocate me .

My inner thoughts berate this sadness,
but it's stronger ,
that I cant even conquer .

People say happiness will find you,
But sadness gets there first ,
it sneaks you up in the dark .
it leaves a mark,
that embark a new journey,
of sadness .
