The Paradox Nights

Part~7

Shivangi was slightly conscious.
Clutching his shirt she opened her eyes. Mohsin's face lit up to see her fine now. She felt like sitting up so he helped her.

"Mohsin yeh sab kya hogaya?" She tried to hold back her tears.

"Pata nahi Shivi. Lekin humein himmat se kaam lena hoga." Mohsin caressed her cheek.

She nodded. She trusted him more than anyone. She knew him for less than three years but he had bagged a special place in her heart. Mohsin had cared for no one like he did for her. The first girl who could make up to him so far. She was different.

Shivangi's eyes were drooping in the need of sleep. Mohsin noticed it.

"Shivi so jaate hain. Kal subah dekhenge kya ho sakta hai." He said getting up. She pulled him back, making him sit back on the bed.

"Kahaan jaa rahe ho?" She questioned.

"Mattress padi thi main room mein. Wahin so jaunga."

"Nahi mujhe darr lagta hai. Mere saath so jao na."

"Theek hai main mattress yahaan le aata hu."

"Koi zaroorat nahi hai iss bed par hi sone waale ho tum."

"Lekin Shivi main kaise..."

"Jaise main so rahi hu."

He sighed and went to the other side of the bed and climbed it. She hugged him.
Mohsin chuckled.

"Tu naa boht ziddi hai."

Shivangi smiled.
They slept hugging eachother closely.

It was morning when Mohsin opened his eyes drowsily. He had his best sleep with her in his embrace. Just then he felt light breathing over his neck. It was Shivangi, his bestfriend. But today he felt something else for her. Something better than friendship.
How wonderful would it be to wake up to her angelic face every morning? How would it feel to share a bed with her every night? His thoughts were broken by something soft on his neck. He realised they were Shivangi's lips. A delicious chill ran up his spine. It felt so heavenly yet wrong. Mohsin didn't want to make it awkward so he came out of her hold and went around the dilapidated house.
