Este gets out of bed the next morning as her alarm clock goes off at 6:00 a.m. It's a rainy, cloudy day when she opens her blinds. "Great." She sighs and says. When Este is just waking up, Alan is normally downstairs making his coffee. Este chooses to go downstairs to greet Alan in the morning. Alan's truck is gone, and the coffee pot is empty. "What's the matter with him?" Este scoffs. Este is trying to persuade herself that Alan simply has to arrive at work early due to the restaurant renovation. Este gets ready for work by going upstairs. She puts on an emerald green pair of slacks and a long-sleeved button-up top. She also puts on her favorite necklace that Alan got her for their 1-year anniversary. She curls her hair and sprays her "Chanel Her" fragrance to tie her outfit together.

She gathers her bags, leaves her house, and drives to her workplace. Este is constantly considering how she might improve herself as a member of society. She's always wanted to be a kind person, and she despises disagreement. This is one of the reasons she didn't argue with Alan about staying out so late last night. Este has always been a quiet woman who tries to avoid getting into trouble and always respects the rules. She arrives at her place of business, where she works as an accountant. Este loves her job because she feels that she can do whatever she wants and that she can have her own space while still being successful.  Este picks up her phone to text Alan and checks in on him, and how his morning is going so far.

Este: Hey Al, how is your day so far? At work? :)

Alan: Morning. Sorry I left early, Ben called and I didn't want to wake you. Yep, I am at work.

Este: Okay! Don't worry!! I have a half-day today, when are you coming home?

Alan: Probably same as last night, pretty busy with the menus.

Este: Oh okay. I'm probably going to go shopping. See you tonight love <333

Alan: See you. Have fun.

Este sighs, disappointed that they won't be spending the remainder of the day together. She finishes her shift and determines that she does not have the motivation to go shopping. Instead, she heads home to binge-watch Gossip Girl and spend time with her cat. She enters her home and proceeds to the basement. She and Alan have a full-fledged movie theater where they can view almost anything. She gets her show-ready so she can finally unwind.

She hears something coming from outside her house a few moments later. Este stands up and looks out the window. She notices Alan's truck approaching. "What is he doing in this place? I assumed he was at his work." She thinks to herself silently. The front door swings wide open. She overhears Alan conversing with someone. "Yeah. So, in 20 minutes, you'll be here?" Este is perplexed because her husband has made it plain that he is quite busy at work. She's also curious about who will be visiting them at their home. If one of Este's friends or family members comes to visit, she always informs Alan. Este chooses to walk upstairs and welcome her husband, inquiring as to who is visiting.

"What are you doing home?" Este asks as she ascends the stairwell. Alan exclaims and spins around to face Este. "Oh!! Hello!! Ben let me leave early, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh I completely forgot to send you a Text message!!" Alan responds hesitantly, his face flushed with anger. "Oh. Please begin informing me, because you have frightened me. Who is going to be here? When you came in, I overheard you on the phone." Este exclaims, her voice trembling. Alan squints and takes a deep breath. "Um, my sister is supposed to come over for supper tonight," says the narrator. "Your sister is on vacation with her friend for her birthday, Alan," Este says, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, really??," Alan exclaims, wiping his brow in disbelief. She informed me that she had returned home. Perhaps she's buzzed or somethingI don't know." Este shrugs and says "Um, alright. Well, whatever I suppose."
