The sweet smell of wisteria flowers was covering the air like a cloud. It was accompanied by Purple and pink petals swaying in the wind, slowly falling to the floor with a light breeze.

Shinobu was taking strands of Mitsuri's multi colored hair and gathering it into three braids as she would usually wear it. Two on the front of each side, one in the back. It always made Shinobu smile when she saw how happy the other girl could get just simply talking about her hair. Part of it confused Shinobu as well. It was amazing how something so simple, so thin, was able to bring so much joy to a human.
Yet sometimes other people can't see that. Even now, she still gets odd looks from some of those who see her. Maybe they don't understand the beauty of her strawberry pink to matcha green hair. Maybe they can't see how it glistens in the moonlight on their late walks in the town. It looks beautiful in every way, shape, and form.

"Shinobu, do you ever see how pretty flowers are?"

Shinobu perked her head up to see the girl's hand. It was holding a small wisteria petal.

"I've looked at a few, but I've never inspected them closely. Why do you ask?"

"I was just wondering. This flower reminds me of you, you know."

Kocho chuckled as she tied the final braid in the other's hair, leaving it to drape.

"Oh? Why's that?"

Mitsuri looked at Shinobu and smiled. Her cheeks were a light blushing pink.

"It smells sweet. Since you use them to make poisons, you smell like them. You smell sweet!"

Shinobu's face became a light red. Her stunned expression quickly melted away into a soft, blushing smile.

"Plus, your colours are similar."

Mitsuri took the petal and looked at Shinobu. She moved the petal to the other girl's bangs and placed it in her hair, gently covering the thin handle so that it was secure. The violet of the flower made an amazing accent for her deep purple tips. Shinobu's face was flustered with a sweet red as she looked at the girl in front of her. Gosh, she had fallen hard.

She Looked down at the path they were near to try and hide her blushing face. Her eyes caught a small sakura flower that still had a stem. She reached down and picked it up, admiring it with bubbly eyes. Kanroji watched the girl and slowly tilted her head to the side, giving a curious look.

"Thank you." Shinobu said quietly.

"You're welcome! You really are beautiful, you know."

Shinobu looked up at the other and smiled, her face becoming a shade darker. Mitsuri was wearing a cheerful smile and had her eyes closed, forming a half curve on each eye. Kocho glanced back down at the cherry blossom in her hand.

"You know, sakura blossoms are similar to you, too. See?"

She held up the flower. It was illuminated by pastel lighting. Kanroji looked at the blossom with a peculiar face.

"It's pink, just like your hair. It's beautiful, just like you."

Mitsuri's face lit up a fierce shade of pink. Shinobu Took the flower and placed it into the other's hair, just as the girl had done to her previously.

"Look, it blends in perfectly!"

"Thank you!" The girl said over and over again, quickly pulling the other in for a deep hug. They were both a blushing mess, but they weren't complaining.

As they separated, Shinobu gave a sweet smile to the girl. She leaned in and gave Mitsuri a quick peck on the cheek. The girl lit up again, spouting on about how much she loves her. Shinobu reciprocated and chuckled, watching with a cheerful smile. She took Kanroji's hand in her own and gave it a soft, loving squeeze before leaning her head on the other girl's shoulder.

As the sunrise lightly touched their skin, the world around them seemed still. The only sound in sight was the trees and flowers drifting in the quiet breeze, accompanied by the slight movement of calm waters, delivered from the small pond nearby. For once they weren't fighting demons, and they were going to make the most of it side by side with interlocked hands.
