The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi sat on his chair, his wise eyes fixed on the figure standing before him.
It was Kitsune, clad in his Anbu outfit and wearing a fox mask that concealed his true identity.
The young Anbu Commander listened intently as Hiruzen briefed him on his new mission - to protect Sasuke Uchiha.
Initially taken aback by the unexpected assignment, the young anbu scoffs in disbelief, his playful demeanor momentarily faltering.
"Me? A bodyguard for an Uchiha? You must be kidding," Fox retorts, his voice tinged with a hint of skepticism that belied his inner turmoil.
"This is serious." Hiruzen's tone was firm, his words carrying the weight of authority and concern.
A wry smile danced on Kitsune's lips, a mask for the swirling emotions within.
" Well, if you throw in extra ramen, I might consider it. Just kidding, Jiji. I'll do it. But only because it's you asking. "Kitsune replied, his words a blend of jest and earnest commitment.
"Thank you. Remember, this mission is of utmost importance. Stay vigilant, and keep Sasuke safe." Hiruzen's voice held a note of finality, a silent plea for diligence.
With a nod of determination, Kitsune met Hiruzen's gaze.
" Don't worry, Hokage-sama. That Uchiha might be a pain, but I'll make sure nothing happens to him. " his promise hung in the air, a silent oath to protect, no matter the cost.
