Third Person POV
The afternoon sun, a fiery orb sinking towards the horizon, cast long, dramatic shadows across the courtyard of the Academy.
The air hummed with the energy of the graduating class, their faces a mixture of relief and anticipation.
They had finally achieved their goal, becoming Genin, the first step on the path to becoming a shinobi.
Shikamaru Nara paused at the entrance, his gaze sweeping across the bustling crowd in the entrance of the academy.
His eyes, ever sharp, landed on a familiar sight: Naruto and Sasuke, their figures silhouetted against the fading light, locked in a silent conversation.
Naruto Namikaze, his usually stoic face softened, a hint of tenderness lingering in its depths as it fixated on the Raven haired male pinned against the wall before him.
His cold, emotionless gaze, usually reserved for his enemies, held only warmth and affection for Sasuke.
Sasuke Uchiha, his obsidian eyes meeting Naruto's with a mixture of amusement and affection, stood stoic, his usual aloofness momentarily forgotten.
His cold, emotionless demeanor melted away in the presence of Naruto, replaced by a tenderness that only Naruto could elicit.
"So, Beautiful," Naruto said, his voice laced with mischief, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips.
"What do you think of my headband?" His cerulean eyes, usually so sharp and calculating, held a playful glint as he waited for Sasuke's response.
Sasuke simply raised an eyebrow. "It's... fine," he replied, his voice a low rumble, as he turned to move away.
But Naruto stopped Sasuke by placing his hand on the wall behind him, trapping his lover.
"It's just a headband, Ru." Sasuke sighed, leaning back against the cool stone, his gaze fixed on Naruto.
He couldn't deny that he liked the way the headband looked on Naruto, the way it framed his face, highlighting his sharp features.
Naruto, his lips curving into a playful smirk, leaned closer, his breath tickling Sasuke's ear.
"Don't you think it suits me?"
"It's... not bad," he said, his voice a low murmur, his eyes glued to Naruto's, unable to tear himself away from their intensity.
“Not bad?” Naruto scoffed, his eyes sparkling with amusement
“Is that the best you can do, Beautiful? I thought you were supposed to be the genius of the Uchiha clan.”
Sasuke rolled his eyes, his playful smirk returning.
“You know I’m not a fan of compliments, Ru,” he said, his voice a low rumble.
Naruto laughed, his voice echoing through the bustling entrance.
“Oh, come on, Beautiful,” he teased, his hand reaching out to gently brush a stray strand of hair from Sasuke’s face.
“You know I love to hear you say nice things about me.”
Sasuke, his heart fluttering at the touch, leaned into Naruto's hand, his gaze meeting his lover’s with a mixture of affection and amusement.
“I’ll admit, it does look good on you,” he conceded, his voice a soft murmur.
“But don’t get too cocky.”
Naruto, his face lighting up with a triumphant grin, pulled Sasuke closer, his arm wrapping around his waist.
“I wouldn’t dream of it, Beautiful,” he whispered, his voice a husky murmur. “But you know I can’t resist teasing you a little.”
