When Gemini had made it home that night, she had immediately started to read the book that she had bought. Her friends hadn't bought anything. They were too busy trying to figure out who could get the - as Amalia put it - the dimpled beefcake to themselves. Gemini thought the man was attractive too, and he seemed to have quite a good personality on his shoulders. However, she wasn't interested in him in the way her friends were. She saw herself wanting Namjoon as a friend.

Every man she had met so far in her life that had the potential to be something she thought that; that they would be a good friend.

It wasn't that she didn't want a romantic relationship of her own, but she figured that she would know it when she saw it. She felt like she would be able to tell when she was around the one that she was destined to be with. She read so many fairytales that she figured she would be a pro at identifying the tell tale signs. She wanted that magical feeling that she read so much about. Surely it must be real for so many stories to center around it.

Gemini had been afraid of life for so long that when it came to love, she wanted to be as brave as possible. She wanted a love unlike any other.

When she woke the next morning, it was because her phone was ringing. She opened her eyes slowly to look at her book that lay next to her ringing phone, throwing out a hand to grapple for it. She answered it and held it to her ear.

"Amalia, if this is you calling me about..."

"Umm...hi. I think you might be mistaken about who I am."

The voice on the other end of the line chased away any trace of sleep that remained. She sat up; her face redder than the rising sun outside.

"I'm sorry. No one usually calls me in the morning but my friends."

"You don't have to explain yourself. I apologize for waking you."

"Don't," she said, "But I am curious why you called."

"Again, I'm sorry. So you probably remember this is Namjoon...from the bookshop last night."

"Yes," said Gemini as she stretched her legs out in the bed in front of her. "Go on."

"I wanted to call to say that you are one of the lucky customers that has been selected to receive a free book from the shop."

"I was just there last night."

"Well lets just say you're very lucky. I mean, this free book is any of the ones in the store. That includes in the new release section up front."

Yoongi walked by her half open bedroom door then. He had one hand fisted and was using it to rub his eye. He paused when he saw that Gemini was sitting up and on the phone. She noticed him stop and quirk a brow, adjusting a hand to shoo him away. Sometimes his protectiveness turned into nosiness. When he eventually left, she tuned fully back in to Namjoon's conversation with her.

"...did I lose you?"

"No, sorry," said Gemini. "Just...got distracted for a moment. What time do I show up for my free book?"

"How about three thirty this afternoon?"

Gemini was still a bit confused by this whole transaction, but found herself telling Namjoon she'd be there. She had barely hung up the phone before Yoongi's head was poking around her doorway.

"You nosy nelly..." said Gemini as she put her cell phone back on the bedside table. "I should have known you just hid out of sight."

"Who was that?"

"Namjoon from the book shop last night."

"How did he get your number?"

"He put it down in the sales book last night, remember?"

"I should have known that's how he picks up chicks..." muttered Yoongi under his breath. "What did he want?"

"He wants me to come by the book shop at three thirty today to pick out a free book."

"He's trying to ask you out."

"Yoongi, stop."

"The chick magnet..."

"Yoongi," said Gemini, trying to snap Yoongi out of whatever train of thought he was in. "Does it help if say I'm not interested in him like that?"

"But you're still going?"

"For the free book. Duh," said Gemini as she gestured at her full bookshelves and the haphazardly stacked books all about the place. Yoongi chuckled.

"Can I be your chauffeur at least? So I can be there in case he tries anything."

"Yoongi, I really do appreciate you being so protective, but I'll be fine."

"I'll work on my music in the car. You won't even notice I'm there, but I'll be nearby in case."

She sighed. She knew that there was no fighting with Yoongi, so she gave in.

"Alright. Fine. Thank you for the ride then," said Gemini as she moved to stand up from her bed.

She walked up to him, giving him a hug before walking over to the closet. She threw it open, deciding to at least throw one more tease Yoongi's way just for the sake of it.

"So Yoongi...what should I wear?"

"I don't care."

"Hmm..." she said as she flicked her fingers through the clothes. She grabbed up a top Amalia helped her pick out one time when she had declared Gemini needed a makeover. She dragged it out of the closet, holding it up against her chest. It was a red spaghetti strap number with sequins. "How about this?"

Yoongi had been dismissively staring at a spot on the wall in her bedroom while she had been looking through her clothes. When she talked to him, his eyes swept towards her, immediately widening in shock at the number she was holding.

"Absolutely not!"

"But you said you didn't..."

"Ah, ah, no! Don't be like that..." said Yoongi as he walked over to her closet. He yanked out a gray sweatshirt and a pair of black sweatpants. "This is better."
