A/N: Hey guys, sorry it took a while to update. I just got over being sick and I was sleeping for the majority of the past two days. It didn't help that 5 of my teachers decided to give me a test on Friday. Anywho, here is chapter 2 (OMG that rhymed)! Oh, and if you've read chapter 1 before I edit it, I decided to change my best friends name from Emily to Ashlyn. If you are just now reading the story, disregard this part of the A/N. :)

*I really meant to update last night, but i fell asleep around 3 am, and i just woke up now at about 11:30 am, so sorry about the wait!!!

Lots of love, xx :) Enjoy

My goofball of a best friend pulled out of the parking lot, me waving  after her.  Sitting in the driver's seat of my car, I pulled on my favorite pair of brown aviators and jammed the key into the ignition. I groaned in frustration  as the hunk of metal loudly grumbled to life. Now don't get me wrong, I love my car and I'm completely greatful for it and all, but I was somewhat embarassed by it. It stood out from everyone else's, and in not such a good way.

On the short drive home from school, possibly the best thing of the day happened... One Direction came on the radio. ♥ I briefly looked at the cars around me while I sat at the red light, looking to see if I recognized anyone...Nope! Coast is clear! .... In that case....

"THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL!" I belted out loud.

So, yes, I'm a Directioner, but only Ashlyn knew how big of a fan I really was. Sure, people at school knew I liked them, but they didn't know the half of it. Let's just say I had a whole wall in my room covered in their faces and my mom gave away my Niall cardboard cutout (yes, she had the nerve to do so) because she thought I was becoming overly attached. Which I kinda am. It's almost unhealthy, but that's alright. I don't really care. I owe them too much to ever stop loving them and their music.

I continued my personal concert in the confines of my car, even after I pulled into the driveway. My mood was automatically lifted for the rest of the day. I'm not quite sure what it was, or why for that matter, but whenever someone simply brought up their name, or I heard one of their songs, or even saw a picture of them... I couldn't stop myself from smiling like a complete idiot.

Laugh all you want, but you don't know my story.

Only after the song ended did I notice neither of my parents cars were in the garage. Sure enough, I found a note on the kitchen counter from my mom saying she had to work the night shift at the hospital, where she was a nurse, and my step-dad had taken my two little brothers to their baseball practice and they would be back kinda late.

Yessss. I loved being home alone. It was so peaceful and quiet, the complete opposite from when the whole family was home. Then, my brothers would be fighting, bothering me while I tried to do homework, my cats (all 3) meowing and trying to get me to feed them....oh yeah. We had a full house. It could be pretty hectic. As if it wasn't difficult enough to focus and stay at the top of my class with all the distractions at home, I also used to do competitive cheerleading. I absolutely loved it, but it got to a point where it was too much for my schedule and not to mention a bit pricey. On the positive side of that, I had decent abs from conditioning all the time. Had a 6-pack, but its shrunked down to a 4-pack since I'm not working out as much. Probably my least favorite part was that I believe my thighs are too muscular, due to all the tumbling and jumping I did. Just one of my several insecurities..

My mom's note also said that she'd left me some food in the fridge for me to warm up. I found the bowl of pasta in a bowl and set it in the microwave. I pulled out a fork and dug in, sitting at the dinner table. Finishing rather quickly, and still a bit hungry, I grabbed the tub of my favorite ice cresm out of the freezer: Haagen Daz's Pineapple and Coconut. Grabbing a spoon, i sat ddown again, this time getting my notebooks out of my backpack. With the end of school right around the corner and finals next week, all teachers were scrambling, making sure they tought all the material we needed to know, therefore dumping loads of last minute work. Humming to myself, I started my nights work of homework.
