Prologue

Noong Bata pa ako, my mother used to read me fairytales before bedtime. Stories of princesses and pretty gowns...I'd never thought I'd become one myself.

"Perfect party princesses now at 20% off! Hire princesses to make an appearance at your child's birthday party!"

"Perfect party princes-"

Yes that's my job. Parents hire me to act as a princess and dress up like a princess sa birthday ng anak nila.

"Mommy why is that princess all sweaty and gross?"

Narinig kong Sabi ng isang batang babae sa kanyang ina matapos ako bigyan ng masasamang tingin. Pano ba naman kasi, tirik na tirik ang sikat ng araw at naka cinderella princess costume pa ako dito sa labas ng isang mall nag pro promote na may 20% discount ang pag hire samin sa birthday at namimigay ng fliers sa mga dumadaan.

"Because I sweat like a human. And guess what? Princesses poop too"

Gulat na gulat ang expression ng batang babae sa sinabi ko at mabilis na tumakbo Kasama ang mommy niya. Pinukulan naman ako ng masasamang tingin ng amo kong nakatingin lang pala sakin.

After a long day of work nakauwi din ako sa apartment ko. I started counting the money I made today Kasama ang ipon ko. I just made 10,000 this month at sa kasamaang palad due date pa ng renta nitong apartment ko bukas.

"Do you have a camera installed on me or something? I literally only said hey. How could you tell?"

"We've know each other all our lives, Tarhata. All you have to do is breathe and I know something's up. Talk to me?"

"Hindi ko kayang bayaran ang renta ko dito sa apartment this month"

"You know I will always help you right? sa mga utang mo dahil sa mama mo"

Nagkasakit si mama kaya siya namatay. Nagka baon baon naman ako sa utang to pay for the hospital just to save her but in the end...they still couldn't.

"Your father might work for some rich billionaire, but that doesn't make you one Elliot. May kinikita pa naman ako sa trabaho ko, kaya ko pa to"

"Tsk if you say so. Anyways I just bought a new apartment here in Laguna and I could really use a roommate. Napag isipin mo na bang bumalik?"

Ever since namatay si mama at matapos kong mabenta ang bahay namin, umalis na din ako sa Laguna to start a new fresh life. Naiwan si Elliot pero kahit na long distance ang friendship namin Wala pa ding nag babago sa turingan namin sa isa't-isa he's still my boy bestfriend.

"I can barely afford for my apartment. Do you think I'd be able to afford that? Thanks for the offer but it's a no for me. I'll hung up now may trabaho pa ako bye"

I prepared myself for my evening job. Princess for hire sa umaga, waitress sa isang mamahaling bar na tanging mayayamang tao lang ang pumupunta sa Gabi. And for God's sake bakit ba ang iikli ng uniform ng mga waitress dito! Kakausapin ko pa ang manager ko after my shift hihingi lang sana ako ng advance sa sweldo ko.

"Pst hey waitress"

Busy ako sa pag se serve ng drinks ng napalingon ako ng may biglang kumalabit sakin.

"I have a name"

I said and rolled my eyes. It's one of those rich kids na palaging nandito sa bar.

"I wondered if you like to kiss our friend over there? It's his birthday but his being an absolute bore"

He said at may tinuro kaya napatingin nalang din ako sa tinuturo niya. Most of our guests are easy on the eye, considering they're all from high society, but this guy is on another level. Nakaka baliw ang ka gwapuhan niya.

"Excuse me? Sige pero may bayad 5,000 pesos and we have a deal"

Pabiro kong sinabi at tumawa nalang.

"Deal"

Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi niya. He's probably just drunk.

"Here's the cheque"

Biglang abot niya sakin. Pinag masdan ko naman Ito ng maigi at totoong cheque nga. With this money I'd be able to afford rent. Argh, whatever. It's just a kiss. Nagsimula naman akong maglakad kung nasan ang gwapong nilalang na hahalikan ko.

"H-Hey"

Nauutal kong sabi.

"Hey?"

"Your friend gave me 5,000 pesos and dared me to kiss you"

"Are you sure? Judging from the way you walk towards me, I'd think he paid you to kill me"

Ang magulo niyang buhok, his fitted shirt, at ang mayabang niyang ngiti could make any girl weak in their knees. Maybe it's his devilish smile, pero Hindi ko alam kung anong sumapi sakin para mautal.

"So a-are w-we doing this or what?"

Nahihiya kong tanong. He arches an eyebrow and frowns.

"It's dumb. Forget I said that-"

Aalis na sana ako sa harap niya pero bigla niya akong pinigilan. Inilapit niya ang mukha niya sakin. His gaze lands on my lips hungrily.

"They had to dare you?"

He ask. Bumuntong hininga nalang ako at hinanda ang sarili. I give him a quick kiss peck on the lips.

"That's it?"

Aba loko to ah! Parang nakulangan pa! Nginitian lang niya ako. What's supposed to be a quick peck turns into a passionate kiss as he holds the back of my head and deepens it.

"If you're going to do it, do it right"

Damn I enjoyed that, but- part of me also couldn't believe na pumayag ako sa isang dare para sa 5,000 pesos lang. Right now, gusto ko nalang bumalik sa apartment ko that I can barely afford at hubarin ang sexy waitress uniform na suot ko at kalimutan ang lahat ng nangyari ngayong gabi.
