"don't bother yourself with the imposter, Calumm"

Sagot ni Uncle Charlie kay Calumm. Why is Calumm pretending na hindi niya ako kilala? They don't know about the marriage engagement...

"I was once regarded as the imposter of my family too, Charlie. You know what I did to those who called me names?"

Pag tatangol saakin ni Calumm na may bahid na pananakot kay uncle Charlie. Mukhang natakot naman si Uncle kasi nauutal siya

"H-have you thought about what you're bidding for t-today? Let's go loo at the collection"

Pag iiba ni uncle sa usapan. Nanguna naman si Uncle sa pag lalakad kasama ang ibang bisita. Bago tuluyang sumunod si Calumm kay uncle kumindat muna siya saakin. Napabuntong hininga nalang ako. Nahagip ng mata ko si Elliot kaya lumapit ako sa kaniya

"Elliot! The dessert spread looks amazing!"

"Thank you! It's the first time our cafè is catering and I wanted to do my best"

Ngiti ni Elliot saakin pero napansin ko ang hikab niya

"Did you get any sleep last night?"

"Not a wink. I just kept frosting, and frosting, and frosting"

I just chuckled on his remark

"It was all worth it! You have nothing to worry about"

"You have nothing to worry about too"

Nagulat naman ako sa sinabi niya. Ganon ba kahalata?

"You can tell that I'm nervous? This is my first time at a fancy event like this"

"Really? I can't tell"

Pabiro niyang sabi kaya natawa nalang din ako

"There are no more macarons!"

"I have some stashed away. Give me a minute!"

Umalis na si Elliot sa harap ko at nag simula naman akong lantakan ang mga pagkain

"If it isn't miss Huntington. Gunther Williams, but I'm sure you've heard of me

Sino ba to? Bigla nalang lumapit saakin. I have not heard of him at all...

"No, not at all"

Tapat kong pag amin sa kaniya

"I wouldn't blame you. I heard nagsasaya ka daw kasama ang mga mahihirap. I'm the one and only heir to the one necessity every household needs to clean up after themselves after a meal! Our products are found in every household! A century old solvent placed strategically beside every sink! We are indispensable!"

Galit ba siya? Bat parang galit siya kung mag salita

"So...dispensable dishwashing soap?"

Bakas ang pagka irita niya sa sinabi ko

"Tarhata! I saved you a macarons!"

Thank God nakabalik na si Elliot dala ang paborito kong macarons

"Thanks"

"Fetch me one too, caterer"

Sabi nitong Gunther. Sinamaan ko naman siya ng tingin. Nag aalinlangan man tumango si Elliot

"S-sure"

"He has a name"

Sabi ko bago pa maka alis si Elliot

"Why would I bother with that? He's just a caterer"

Now galit na ako. This Gunther guy is being rude

"You-"

"It's okay, Tarhata. One macaron coming right up, sir"

Pag aawat saakin ni Elliot bago ko pa tapusin ang sasabihin ko

"Now then, before we were rudely so interrupted- I would like to date you"

Nagulat ako sa sinabi ni Gunther. Nag bibiro ba siya?! To that I say...

"No"

"Why not? It'll be your honor! You know nothing about business! I heard you waited tables! You need a man to manage your legacy and I'm kind enough to volunteer myself-"

I gasped ng makita kong may lumipad na macaron sa mukha ni Gunther!

"Who did that?!"

Galit na galit na sigaw ni Gunther

"Sorry, it slipped"

Inosenteng sagot ni Elliot. Humalagapak naman ako sa tawa sa ginawa niya at hinarap si Gunther

"Thank goodness your family makes dishwashing soap! You'd be able to get that stain out!"

Sarkastikong sabi sa kaniya habang nakatingin sa suit and tie niyang may mantsa ng macaron. Padabog na umalis si Gunther sa harap namin

"Thanks. Can you believe the nerve on that guy?"

Pagpapa salamat ko kay Elliot. Good riddance. Nag tawanan lang kami ni Elliot ulit at nagpa salamat sa pag ligtas niya saakin ng mapukaw ang attention namin

"That's him!"

Napalingon ako at nakita si Gunther na nakabalik sa kinaroroonan namin na may kasama mga lalaki

"What's going on?"

Tanong ko. Nakita ko naman si Elliot sa tabi ko na nagulat sa pag sigaw ni Gunther

"Throw him out of here!"

Sigaw ni Gunther sabay turo kay Elliot indicating na pinapaalis ni Gunther si Elliot dito sa ball

"Para saan?! You're overreacting-"

"I don't need a reason to do what I want! Besides, dinumihan niya ang suit ko! Apologize or they'll throw you and your cheap dessert table out!"

Napaka entitled! Iyan lang ang masasabi ko sa mga ganitong klase ng tao ang kapal ng mukha!

"You-"

Agad pinutol ng matapobreng Gunther ang dapat sanang sasabihin ko

"Watch and learn, Miss Huntington ito ang nababagay sa mga taong those who forget their place"

Namumula ang pisngi ko sa galit ng biglang hinawakan ni Elliot ang balikat ko

"It's okay Tarhata I was in the wrong"

No it's not okay! Elliot is my friend and he was standing up for me! Elliot doesn't deserve to be treated like this! Ang mga lalaking kagaya nito ay dapat turuan ng lection!

"It's good that you brought security on your own, I would like that man over there thrown out!"

Nabigla si Gunther sa sinabi ko

"Me? Para saan?"

"I don't need a reason. I'm rich. Richer than you. Alam ko kung paano tratuhin those people who forgot their place unless how to be a complete jerk I don't need you to teach me anything"

Gunther got a taste of his own medicine nakita ko naman si Elliot sa tabi ko na di makapaniwala sa sinabi ko kay Gunther

"You can't throw me out! My father is going to donate a lot of money!"

Pagpapaliwanag ni Gunther sa mga security guards nitong function hall

"Dodoblehin ko whatever Mr. Williams is going to donate if he's thrown out. I'll double your pay too"

Sabay sabi ko sa mga security guards agad naman silang nagka tinginan at hinila paalis ng function hall si Gunther.
