20:58.

I practically ran in through the door, the bell chiming as I did so. Swiftly going behind the counter and grabbing an apron, beginning my hours of work.

"Heyo, Dan," I smiled at my best friend, who was already prepping some [seemed to be] peppermint tea in the machine.

"Hey, Scar!" He threw me a cheesy grin, and continued making the tea.

Tuesday nights were usually fairly empty, with the usual late-night college crammers, and some busy workers. Not much of a rush for us baristas. See, I was the usual college freshman who needed to find a way to make ends meat, so what better way than to work at the cafe down the street from your uni?

I stood behind the cafe counter, quickly punching my card in. It was an exceptionally empty night; one student sitting at the bar stools, just staring blankly at their Macbook. I begun picking at my nails as Dan delivered them their tea. I subtly heard a swift chime, and as I looked up I noticed a fairly conspicuous boy. He was neither pale, nor tan. His eyes were not dull, nor incredibly vibrant. His hair was not long, yet not chopped short. He was wearing dark skinny jeans and a black t-shirt. In my opinion, wearing all black on a hot summer night was not the best choice. But who am I to judge?

"What can I get you?" I chimed to the man now standing directly in front of me. His lips curved upwards, I could now fully see his gorgeous green eyes.

"Hmm.." He swiftly browsed the menu, "I think I'll get an espresso." He inquired, offering a dull smirk, on his pale pink lips. I punched in the order into the computer and picked up a shot-cup.

"That'll be... $1.20," I smiled up, at the mop of curly hair in front of me. "Name?" I asked, patiently holding up my sharpie and the cup.

"H." He replied in an unfathomable manner. I nodded and simply wrote an H on the cup, then passing it to Dan for him to make the drink. 'H' then proceeded to give me $5. I quickly began digging around for change as he chuckled and shook his head, "keep the change," he smirked. I put the $5 simply into the register and thanked him.

I watched as the incredibly handsome boy then proceeded to sit directly next to the being on the bar stool. They nimbly began having a murmured conversation. Every few seconds I would see one of them peer back at the counter, suspiciously. So, I pretended therefore to just not be paying attention to them.

Harry's POV.

As soon as I walked into the small cafe, entitled Kaffeine, I noticed the young girl behind the counter. Not too young, probably just a few years less than I, she seemed about 18 or 19. She was so incongruous. Her dark-brown, almost black hair majorly contrasting against her paper-pale skin. Her pale pink lips, adding more color to her face than any other part of her body. Her high cheekbones, and her crinkling eyes, making her look genuinely happy to be working there. She was gorgeous, in every way possible. But, I wasn't here to admire artwork, I was here to make a business deal, with the one and only, Liam Payne.

I quickly ordered a drink, enjoying how the barista became flustered every time I spoke. I then proceeded to sit down to Liam, who was shockingly the only visitor in the cafe.

"Payne," I smirked, looking down at the lad as I took a seat. "It's been a while, how are you, pal?" I spoke, adding fake enthusiasm. I genuinely needed this business deal to go well.

"Get your head out of your ass, Styles," he chuckled, "Now, mate, what are you really here for? Other than trying to get with the barista."

"I have an offer," I spoke, disregarding his last statement. He nodded, as if to tell me to continue speaking.

Scarlette's POV.

21:30.

Dan finished making the espresso, and was on his way to give it to 'H', before I stopped him.

"They look pretty into that conversation," I said, looking over at Dan and throwing a light laugh, "Maybe I should take the espresso?" I threw an innocent smile at Dan, clearly just wanting to get to see 'H's face again.

"Mhm. Is that it, now? You sure you don't just have the hots for curly?" He smirked, looking down at me, causing me to blush. "I mean, if Sam and I weren't together I would totally tap that." I laughed obnoxiously loud, causing me to get a look from the two boys sitting on the stools. I quickly recovered and just shook my head at Dan, walking over to where the two boys were, setting 'H's' drink on front of him.

"And what's your name, love?" the other boy spoke as I began walking away.

"Scarlette," I called back, not bothering to turn back around, as I took back my spot at the counter.
